Definitely. I'm going to support the U.S. first and foremost because, well, I live in the U.S. and Canada's not in this tournament or anything, but if/when things go awry (which will likely be more-so because the U.S. is in a group with Germany and Portugal...dammit), my sliding scale tilts towards England.

Can't support the Spaniards or Brazilians. Not in my blood.

is there like a team in this world cup that doesn't dive at every opportunity? because if there is, I want them to win.

Sorry. That does not exist in this world.

Not only will they dive, but they will roll around on the ground for 2 minutes until the play starts again and then get up and start sprinting.

can I just say how much ******** it is that Lakitu gets to still be referee when a Lakitu can also be a driver?

Mushroom Kingdom typical.

the cynical side of me (all of me) thinks that it could have been planned by Microsoft, given that the other commands he says in the commercial don't work, to create a PR thing about the effectiveness of the Kinect voice commands.

Reminds me if the you tube videos where people have their gamer tag as other commends.

I never think it will happen this fast, but I'm in full blown offseason mode.

ECHL End of Season rosters cannot arrive soon enough.

I'm just not sure if that particular .gif is from when Inter was assigned their red card. I mean, yeah, I could look this up and get the answer there, but I'll do that after I post this. Otherwise, there's just no fun in it to pontificate about something I'm not completely familiar about.

I've always liked soccer as a 4th/5th sport (I'm a baseball/football/hockey guy through-and-through; all things equal, I'll watch any of those over basketball/soccer) but it wasn't until I first had access to FSC that I actually watched the EPL regularly on Saturday mornings and started to stream games from elsewhere in Europe. This didn't occur until August 2012. Having two games a week from the EPL on ESPN2, one which aired at 7:30 in the morning (a time I was seldom ever awake at, though it happened a couple times that I can remember, I guess) and the other at 3:00 on Monday was simply not going to be enough to enthrall me. I'm glad things have changed because I played soccer as a youth but that was a moderately long time ago by that point and I had drifted away from the game almost entirely, save for the World Cup, Euros, and UCL Final; I barely watched any club matches.

BTW - I love Busquets' little peek there. It's like he's trying to hide and wants to know when the coast is clear or something. Quite bemusing.

So, I quit my job on Friday for a lower paying position and I have never been happier. I have hired at EA and will be working on NHL 15 starting Monday. I will report in on how it is tomorrow.

I will now hold you personally responsible if it is as bad as the previous iterations.

But that's good man! Happy for you

Congrats, Ivan!

Now we'll finally have realistic ratings for all Lightning players. Killorn 95 etc.

Thanks guys. I'm here right now. Haven't touched the game yet. First thing I'm going to do is go in and check the stats. If Palat is any lower than 99 I'm going to rage.

Having a job isn't always about the money, it's about doing what you enjoy. Congrats!!

Congrats stryfe. Is David Littman still there?

I nearly got to go inside EA Tiburon once. I only live like 15 minutes from them and a few years back they had a thing where they were looking to bring gamers in to give feedback about some games they were working on. I couldn't go because one of the few proper 'vacation' I've had in the last 15 years coincided with the day it happened.

Not sure about him. Haven't met everyone. I'm at EA Burnaby. It ironically is 15 minutes from my house also. I've been applying here for years and it finally worked out.

As of right now I haven't touched the game. I'm setting up my workstations, getting emails, system accesses and paper work all done. From what I have heard from others, they say on next gen you really sense and feel the difference. Soon as I verify this I will give you guys the word.

Bout time they get a Bolts fan in there. Every year our team/players are criminally underrated. WE HAVE A VOICE NOW!
