Blackedge question

I got this new Step steel Blackedge today... Pretty nice stuff... My question is before every practice or game I usually take a honing stone to my blade to just make sure the edges are true... But with the carbon coating will the honing stone do anything bad to the steel? Just wondering if you can use a honing stone on this steel given the carbon finish and stuff... Maybe it's a dumb question idk lol

Did they come with any info?
Was reading about them on another forum and one of the guys mentioned they specifically state not to use a honing stone in the manual.
Haven't check it myself though.

You're not supposed to hone it!

You can hone other polished steel (like the CCM SB Polished) but not those with the Diamond-like coatings.

Okay I'll email him.. I just know they're super busy... For what it's worth, from what I found on google.. there is no need to hone because it does not burr...
