Is it official? Have we lost the rights to older Euro draftees such as Alexander Buturlin?

Thanks

Not sure since the CBA hasn't been posted yet. I am under the impression that we did lose the rights to all our Euro drafted prospects up to the '01 draft. I know that our '02 Euro picks will need to be signed by june '06. That would be Korneev and Linhart. I don't expect we will see Korneev come over ever, since he is making very good money in the RSL and would have a very hard time making the Habs imo, but if he's not signed he becomes a FA. Linhart it sounds like he has been improving his game, although he is one prospect I have had a hard time keeping track of and I haven't seen him play since the wjc's. I would like to see him brought over since our defensive depth is hurting.

We have till '07 to get our '03 Euro's signed and '08 for our '04 Euros. But I am not 100% sure we lost the rights to the Euro picks from '01 and before, as I thought I heard something that teams were going to be given another year but I can't find that anywhere. If I had to bet, I'd say we lost Buturlin's rights (and any hope for the '99 draft turning out something)

I know that somewhere there was a thread about this... the Canadiens gave up their rights to prettymuch all the old euro draft picks, including buturlin... if I can find the post I'll put it up.

Hmmmmm, kid had better start producing or he'll be labled a "bust" for sure. Ditto Sergie Kostitsyn. Very disappointed in these two guys' early production. Terrible!!!

Haha, well from what I understand the majority of his points were on the PP, and London is off to a bad start (0-2) so I wouldn't knock him for that.

I'm really impressed by Stewart's performance! He seems like a nice future checking liner with some skills.

Great SEL debut for Chris Heino-Lindberg as he carried his strong preseason play over to the regular season by stopping all 31 shots on goal for a shutout win.

Chippy is playing in his first for Prince Albert tonight. So far, he has 1 goal and 1 assist as his team is trailing 4-2 in the 2nd period. Price's game isn't started yet it seems.

Price just gave up his 2nd goal of the game. not a good goal to give up either, off a point shot. The first goal was the defensemen's fault, he didn't have him tied up good enough, the guy from the chiefs dove for the pass, deflected it high over Price's shoulder.

I'm watching the game but there's no sound. 2-1 in the 2nd.

How was he?

He had 31 saves on 35 shots...not bad

It's tough to score tons of points when your team plays the trap all the time.

Erm, who knows how they'll play this year. Jarvis isn't coaching them anymore.

Not a good start for Carey Price. He allowed 4 goals on 35 shots as Tri-City lost 4-1 to the Spokane Chiefs.
