Avs Trying to Bring Back Radulov

According to Eklund the AVS are attempting to bring in Radulov, during the off season

"I also continue to hear Colorado may be quietly working a deal for Alex Radulov to join the team....in the offseason. "

I could see it. He and Roy have history together and Roy has always been a big fan of Radulov. The guess work will come in the form of compensation, if there's any. Maybe a Preds fan can answer this, but did Nashville qualify Radulov?

I would be ecstatic about that but I think this may be speculated based on Roy's and Rads' previous relationship. I know Rads loved playing for Roy but he is making the big bucks in the KHL. He would have to really want to play for Roy to make this happen.

If Colorado is his best case scenario where he beasts it up, watch out.

Wouldn't be surprised if he was to join Patrick in Denver. He loved him in Quebec

After Radulov's Olympic coach suggested he deserved to be "scratched among other things", I didn't think there would be many NHL coaches still willing to take a chance on him.

This summer he is a UFA in terms of the NHL--unsure his contract terms in the KHL.

I think the only team that would take a shot at him would be Colorado. He loved playing for Roy in Quebec. They won the mem cup together.

If anyone's going to, it's Roy after their history in the QMJHL. I'm sure the Avs are the only team Radulov would be interested in going to as long as Roy is there.

Alex Radulov was by far the best player on team Russia and Zinetula is an ignoramus.

Its an interesting thought to say the least but how much money do we really want in our forwards...at some point we need to look at defense.

IF we sign ROR and Staz in the offseason like most Avs fans hope we do, both will be looking at 6mil a year at least. Radulov would ask for similar if not more. We have Mackinnon's contract to worry about in 2 years. Landy, Duchene, and Varly are all looking at around 6 mil a year deals starting next year. We need our cap space to upgrade our Defense.

That forward corps would be stupid though. Unbelievable talent if Radulov became and Av.

Ek is just Fishing for hits on a team he knows probably wont do anything by the trade deadline. He is such full of crap.

Radulov has what 2 more years left on a KHL contract that pays him like 9.2m per season for a league that has an anti-poaching law with the NHL.

Idk why people believe half of the crap he says.

As a division rival, I endorse the Avs getting this butter-soft, no-defense, one-dimensional player who chokes in the big moment.

Radulov makes that
There is no way he is coming back if he is making that much money and showed how much he cared about winning the cup his last go around with Nashville.

Oh I don't believe him one bit. But you do have to give him credit for making these things up though.

Plus he is bound to get one right at some point.

I'd be reluctant to go after a guy based on his relationship with a coach eight years ago.

Not to mention Wikipedia tells me he signed a four year deal in 2012 that pays 9.2 million dollars a year. I doubt he'd take the pay cut.

He has stated many times that he is all time favorite coach was Roy.

Please no, keep him far away from the NHL. Good player but he has his head up his you know what. Plus, there is zero chance he leaves 9.2 million for another two years to play for maybe 3? Just can't see it nor do I want to see it

team is on such a good way, great two way players with heart, effort and lots of talent...why ruin it with such a player?! yes he's good but he won't win you anything.
and even if it would work out on the ice I can't see a scenario where Roy and Radulov would get along off it.
