I like the move a lot.

Thibault > Burke

He and Fleury will make an interesting tandem.

Well, since they had Khabibulin, that's probably the best they'd get anywhere.

Yes, yes, yes, yes! Great move by the Pens.

Don't want to get too happy because of the Burke thing, but I'm very pleased.

Hopefully this means Fleury will spend a full year or maybe even two starting in the AHL.

Chiodo should be traded.

Excellent move by the Pens, I wonder if this means Cujo will go to Phoenix?

The Pens are a solid defenseman away from being a scary team.

Id thought we would get at least a third for him, oh well.

We have had so many draft choices the last few year and it will be a high fourth so no big deal.

Good luck to Thibault. Though not an elite goalie by an stretch he was always aclass act in Chicago, I have nothing but good things to say about him.

To quote our great announcer Pat Foley,
"T'BOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!"

Tallon's inexperience shines through. Id rather have kept Thibault as backup if that was the best we could get. The Pens get a top 10 starter for almost nothing.

Thibault is a great guy on and off the ice. The equipment changes will definitely help guys who rely almost completely on speed and positioning like Joce does. I wish him the best of luck in the Pitts, he just better not curse us Hawk fans by doing better than Khabi, which I think he might.

Sweet, this was my original hope all along. I had hoped Chicago wouldn't tender him and we just signed him, even before all the rumors with Cujo and Burke.

I've always found Thibault to be underrated. Hopefully he is able to stay healthy in Pittsburgh this year.

Great price too. I wouldn't have had a problem with trading one of our younger fringe NHL players/old prospects, but a fourth rounder is less than I was expecting to be dealt for him in general.

What is Thibault's contract? Something like 3 mil I thought I read? Is he in his last year (yes, I'm too lazy to look all this up)?

That's my concern. Did he play any games at all following that surgery?

That's a pretty good short-term deal. He'll do an adequate job starting until Fleury is ready for prime time. And for a 4th? Can't lose.

If you're going to trade anyone make it Caron and his one-way contract.
