Ultimate Oilers Fan

Is there anyone here who can honestly say that they have watched every crappy minute of every crappy game this season?

Just wondering who among us has spent the most time at the rink and watching on the tube this season.

Who is the ultimate fan (or just plain crazy)?

I've watched most of them, albeit in fast forwardx5, haha.

I've missed 3 games. Other than that, I've sat through it all.

....Now, my eyes bleed during the night.

I have not once, not tuned in for the start of the game this year.

I have however turned the game off if they play with no effort as was the case tonight after the 2nd.

For me with this team and any other sports teams I watch (Raptors, Blue Jays, Oil Kings) it's all about effort, I can put up with some poor execution, but if the efforts not there it drives me insane.

Minus my wonky work schedule I have watched every game... so atleast 60. Wear my jersey every gameday still which is my Lil tradition since the 06 finals... always getting mocked though lol. I watch these games still expecting better results, knowing full well we will most likely crap the bed. I'm a masochist.

Same. Watched a couple in fast forward the next day for various reasons, but I've seen them all

Watched every game until Mact decided to double down on Eakins a few games ago, and I won't be bothering to waste my time for the rest of the season, maybe not even next year. It's not the 80s/90s/00s anymore, there is too much competition in the entertainment space(books, movies, games, music etc) to sit around for 3+ hours watching the least entertaining hockey team in the NHL, and contrary to popular belief; winning does not cure all.

The owner is an absentee landlord, the management and coaching staffs are thoroughly unlikeable and hopeless, and the players are overmatched, outmanned, and dispirited.

Every fan has his breaking point, the Oilers are past it now for me.

this is the least I've watched in 20 years. I rarely get thru a whole game. Last night, after the first period, I tuned out because I knew the outcome would be precisely what came to pass... a shutout, drubbing.

I truly wish I could find the passion to cheer for another team, but i just can't seem to do it. I have been following the OilKings more each year, tho, and have discovered that the Rush, and lacrosse, are/is awsome!!!!

not sure if I will ever be as passionate for the Oil as I once was. this year has truly caused permanent damage.

I moved to Australia in 2008. I've watched 10+games every year until this year.
This year I believe I watched 3 games. 1 of them was a decent game, though they were all losses.

I still wear an Oilers jersey out sometimes, although more ironically than anything. Damn...the Oilers turned me into a hipster. You happy now, Lowe?

I PVR games almost exclusively, unless I am up in Edmonton and attending the game (watched StL destroy us twice live, among other awesome games). Have seen all games at least in part.

Anyways, PVR is my new best friend. I get to ffwd all the ***** Rogers! Rogers! Rogers! advertising, in addition to zipping through the rest of the game when the team folds.

OT I know, but I cannot stand the ads DURING the gameplay that Rogers sneaks in. So greasy.

Missed less than 5 games. Mostly due to having hockey myself.

Why? I'm a sucker for punishment.

I haven't seen them all but I would have if I could. I've seen most of them I think.

However last year I went through a bit of a dark period with this team during the worst of Krueger's team (which was worse than anything Eakins has done imo), and I did stop watching for a few weeks deliberately.

Like others have said I watch as many games as I can, I work and coach a basketball team. If either of those conflict with the game I don't watch. Other than that I have watched every game possible

So basically I have watched as many as I would have if they were in first place not second last

Lurker here.

Every tie-soaked moment.

Even got tickets in Vancouver to watch a 3-0 shut-out.

I used to watch every game on TV from 2007 til December of the 2013/2014 season, minus times when I had to do something else during game days.

Now, I don't even check if the Oilers play. I chose a bad time to become a fan, curse you 2006 playoffs!

I've watched maybe 15 games in their entirety and maybe a period or two of 10 others.

No idea how anybody could force themselves to watch this team on even a semi-consistent basis. I'd rather be burned alive.
