Why would the rebuilding flames trade their best young asset on the Blueline for a rental? AND they add a pick?

We won't see both Girardi and Callahan traded, and I have a feeling Winnipeg might pick up Pearson in a trade with LA, maybe moving Setoguchi.

Muzzin and Vey for Cammalleri?

absolutely zero interest. the foremost need is a defenseman, LW comes after that and its not going to be an aging UFA LW either

None of the Kings deals make sense for the Kings.

A few predictions:

Boston acquires Derek Morris
Toronto acquires Ryan Jones

Oh you said MAJOR trades, none

I don't know why, but I could see Mike Cammalleri to Philly for Meszaros and something.

I can't buy what you are saying about MPV, or MPS or whatever the heck everyone calls him. He to me is the quintessential example of a throw in.

You could be right about Stewart. However, I don't want to see him in Pittsburgh in any way, shape or form in case I'm right.

That leaves a gaping hole on Gs line. Plus we're taking on too much salary.

Wild is gonna be wild. They are going to give up first, second and two really good prospects for it! You'll see Flames is going to offer some money to Cally next summer and Cally has accepted it. I'm also pretty sure these won't work cap-wise. Wild will dump Heatley somewhere but it won't be in "top 5 trades".
Would love this from a Sabre perspective.

For whom?
Kesler is the best player in that deal IMO.
As an Oiler fan I would trade anyone not named RNH or Hall for him!

Edler only returns a 2nd round pick?

Are you saying that's a good deal that the Flyers should make ?

Not necessarily, simply because I am not sure of Phili's most pressing needs. My point would be that the value seems fair from an outsiders perspective.

Right every team out there Vancouver wants a roster player and 2 prospects and a 1st round pick for Edler so Philly would only offer a 2nd round pick. Yeah good luck with that.

Voracek and Schenn are heading into their prime years.
Elder isn't playing nearly as good as prior years and Kesler is a center who is closing in on 30 years old.

Center depth of Giroux, Kesler, Couturier would be unreal!
Despite his poor season, I think Edler would be a top pairing dman on the Flyers.
