Ah, the trade we all knew would happen.

This trade has to be to replace Rupp who hasn't done much.

Too bad indeed, because then they'd be a worse run organization than the Oilers and I wouldn't have to waste time following them.

Markus Granlund has proven as much at the NHL level as Phillips which is absolutely nothing, and what do they have to do with this trade?

Winchester has a chance of playing some NHL games... Connelly, not so much.

Precisely. If a GM is making trades based on how to improve his AHL club rather than his NHL club he shouldn't be a GM at all. Maybe it hurts Iowa but that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

Iowa article says we also got D-man Zach Miskovic in the deal.

didn't we originally get connelly from the hawks? to DANOs point...if he was so great, would have they got rid of him in the first place?

Winchester, pumped because I have his "Los Ice Hogs" jersey. I just need to tape over the Blackhawks logos on the shoulders and then I can wear it in public.

Did Winchester (can we just call him Winner?) play with Mitchell in the Sharks?

i have posted several things i would have done different from cf most of which would have improved this club. most of those posts were on a diff msg board so you really dont have a clue about my ideas. i dont like trading w hawks since we seem to come out on the short end of the stick. see leddy trade. if winchester was the big power forward soon to be allstar why would chicago give him up for only brian connelly?

Holy crap those are hilarious. They did it the season after as well. Totally different jerseys but equally as funny.

Yeah, this is the Mariachi band version, which to be honest is more inventive, and less "offensive" than their previous version.

One of my most expensive game worns, but totally worth it. It's hysterical.

Honestly, they are the exact same. Same amount of AHL point totals in their high end years. If anything, I'd say Noreau is a worse version of Connelly.

Iowa Wild? Let's not talk about him as a Minnesota Wild acquisition until he actually suits up and has a say on what happens on the ice.

Iowa's gotten spanked 2-4, 1-9, and 0-4 since the trade. Not working out for them. But then again, the skater prospects down there are not great.

I have to wonder though if gutting the team of good veteran players is smart. Do you really want your prospects to develop on a minor league team which is a doormat?

Who knows but the prospects we've been bringing in have been underwhelming.

Well the end of our franchise is near. Our AHL affiliate is losing. I'll make the signs to wear.

Couple of injuries (Graovac, Bulmer, etc), lots of prospects graduating to the NHL including Haula and Kuemper that weren't projected to do so, and Zach Phillips struggling to take the next step obviously had an impact.

He's never had a callup in his entire career, and was likely behind Blum and Kampfer in that regard. It likely would've taken 3-4 defensive injuries for him to see NHL ice. I have no idea why he'd be so far down, as he's produced very well in the AHL his entire career, but there's gotta be a reason.
