So three blown calls by the refs on the Rangers. One slash on Nash (broken stick). Hook on Nash at about our own blueline. Possible hook on Hagelin by Keith (took his arm spun him around a bit).

Yeah, I don't want to be reminded of Team USA's embarrassing tournament. No thanks.

Kane vs the cab driver who pulled up on a patch of ice for Leetch maybe. Kane has experience in these situations.

Typical Rangers/Talbot hockey. Extremely limited chances on both sides. Absolute snooze fest.

From an entertainment standpoint that period was a 2 out of 10.

That said, I'll take the 1-0 lead. And we can't continue to give Chicago PP's throughout the game.

Ill give Keith the good defensive play. but the trip on Hagelin was also missed.

You guys thought that was fun? The best chances was a broken play in front of the net with Brassard (that he scored on) and a play where Kane hit the side of the net.

My brother, father and I all thought the first period was brutal to watch.

If you guys thought that was an entertaining product, on either side, we need to redefine what entertaining hockey is. The Olympics were tough to watch at points, and those games blew this period away.

I think more people were "entertained" by it just because it's a 1-0 Rangers lead. If it was 1-0 Chicago, everyone would be griping how boring it was.

It was a sarcastic joke with regards to Boyle and Toews holding each others jerseys after the period ended.

Take off the homer glasses sometimes. Just because it's my team and they're winning doesn't mean it's a great product on the ice.

Oh, and it doesn't help that the Garden always sounds like a morgue.
