I mean I'd love that more but I highly doubt the flyers would do that. I would give up our first straight up for him, if its top 10.

No more than a 3rd/4th IMO. Only 17 points in the AHL with 59 games played.

So pretty much looking at a Read - Ellis swap. I know Flyers want D, but don't know if Ellis is enticing.

Not really. Only because we desperately need a top pairing guy that can actually play at both ends of the rink....so Josi really due to Weber being untouchable. I would offer any forward except Giroux for him. And I would add any roster dman except Coburn to replace the roster spot. Any interest?

no, I'm asking what do you want him for? The guy may never play hockey again and isn't even signed to an NHL deal right now

I don't think this would be a very good trade for us.

Oh sorry mis read that. I was reading up on him and I saw he was a good PK player, though he may be a good throw in if he could ever recover. Never can have too many two way forwards that can kill penalties

Yeah I figured. Thought this could be a decent base of a trade since the two aren't major parts on each team but for the needs for the Preds and Flyers

I don't think you'll find any Flyers fans interested in this trade. Matt Read is thought of highly on the Flyers board.

Sadly, Wellwood's career is most likely over.

Is Wilson a very solid D-man? No? Then why would the Flyers trade their most versatile winger, who's on the PP and PK, along with being one of their fastest players while also very responsible defensively?

How about the Flyers offer up something for Jones instead? Of course, it would have to be reasonable for BOTH sides, not an unrealistic demand.

No from Nashville. Ellis is starting to be appreciated and will be great on the PP for years to come.

I don't think we will trade Jones, it'd have to be Weber and we know where this goes.

Just for the sake of fun what about:

To Philly:
- Jones
- Wilson
- 2nd

To Nashville:
- Giroux
- L. Schenn

I know Giroux but that's the only way.

Agreed he is playing awesome as of late, but there's no way he can go up on the depth chart. I feel like he could get us a player like Read who will add scoring

Matt Read is the type of player you can feel comfortable having in any situation, you kind of never find yourself complaining about, and yet will never be too expensive to keep most likely.

If Giroux's name is in the proposal, you can rest assured Weber's is in there as well. This road is well traveled, let's not go down it again. It leads nowhere.

Would rather hold on to Ellis. If not package him for a better and more dynamic player if you are going to trade him.
