yeah D is not what we need right now. We need to clear a bit of the logjam at forward and try and trade for a decent 2nd/3rd line forward IMO

Maybe we can snag a cheaper guy like Setoguchi or Frolik out of WPG. What do they need?

Bottom pairing DFD. Early 30's, good guy and leader. But, I say, let's stick with Tinordi instead.
Not surprised. Wouldn't be a trade deadline without the Habs trading for a depth dman just to say that they did something.

Are Oiler fans asking for Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Tinordi or Beaulieu in return for Nick Schultz yet?

I call BS on all the rumors coming out of Edmonton. They're a bunch of sorry ass losers and will do anything to troll the habs fan base.

Smells like Drewiske.

Watch him re-sign Schultz and waive him before he plays a game.

Just want to reiterate that I would love to see Paul Statsny in MTL...not sure what the cost would be though

Avs fans seem pretty confident he's going to be re-signed and will stay with the team.

I hope Markov lights up the Kings for 3-4 points tonight and Lombardi stumbles over himself to acquire him!

Oh FFS... Stick with Tinordi or recall Drewiske. Don't need another d-man!

690 today were joking around purposely starting bogus rumours just to see who would pick them up. Not sure if this one of them but Kesler wants to go to USA city

See this as step sideways...if Price will be gone long while maybe Gionta and rights to Nygren for Brodeur

Habs into N. Schultz, Meszaros and Philipps. 98,5FM (Dubé)

Says Philipps would be hard because it's the same division.

Could be a second deal in place if we move Markov, it makes no sense otherwise.

Mez could be alright, but all those guys seem redundant in our system and core IMO.

I would have to think it is to replace Markov.

The last thing we need is another bottom pairing D-man. We have Drew, Bouillon, Tinordi and Beaulieu.

Michel Bergeron: "Plekanec, Beaulieu and a first for Kesler? I'd do it."

And that's why he hasn't been considered as a coach or in the management of any hockey team in the last 25 years.

I would be so mad. If you want McDo 2.0 to happen again do this trade. It would be even worst IMO.

It's beaulieu's inclusion that makes it so stupid.

I wouldn't trade Plex for Kessler straight up. Too many hard miles on his body for a long term contract.

Also, he said he wants to play in the US and last I checked, Qc is as far removed from the US as can be. Kessler has a zero percent chance of ending up in Montreal.
