I already understand what you mean, there is no doubt that there is room for concern, particularly because he STILL puts his damn head down. With that said, he's a 1.5 million dollar risk that if it pays off, fantastic, and if it doesn't, oh well. I fully understand that we'll probably be wincing everytime he takes a hit of any note though.

Proabably not the MVP of 10 years ago, but you should all be pretty happy with him.

Good Luck, Eric.
You mean like when we used to watch, Mogilny (hip), Nolan (back), Antropov (below neck), McCauley (head), Belfour (back), Quinn (heart)?

Chara and Volchenkov?

Only have to send out Kaberle then, not the heavy guns.

Domi's role

Can anyone explain Domi's role in this? I caught the end of Fan 590 saying Domi played a big role in recruiting Eric...

Also - they said that Domi had a 3 year 5.1 million dollar deal that he turned down.

Nice signing by the Leafs. If he stays injury free, you get a bargain. It will definitely pump some more heat into the rivalry....Lindros is hated in Quebec for dissing the NOrdiques.

Lindros will go down in the first half of the season.
But for 1.5 mio. it is a low risk investment, though. Maybe not a bad deal for you guys.
But for me I still think Lindros is done.

I'm glad to see that it's finally happened.

What's weird is that the Toronto Maple Leafs now have had Mats Sundin, Owen Nolan, and Eric Lindros in their organization, all three of which were number 1 picks with the Quebec Nordiques. They have also had Todd Warriner, which means that we've had Quebec's number one pick in 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992. If you could Wade Belak, there's yet another Quebec first rounder (1994).

The Leafs are like the Nordiques alumni.

Just ordered my Big E Leaf jersey! I will be wearing it to every away game the Leafs play vs the Isles and Devils.
