The hand injury especially. The fact that he was still missing the occasional game in January because of it shows how bad it really was.

Ive watched Armia for many years and I can tell you this. He has amazing hands and shot. Good size too. He managed to score those 18,18 and 19 goal seasons with those skills alone, but even in Finland there was a lot of talk about his poor work ethic etc. He never got the fans behind him, because he floats and cherrypicks on the ice. Doesnt defend. Tries to stickhandle opponents way too much. Arrogant attitude.

I think he got too much attention in a small town too early. He stopped working on his game and now it looks like he may not ever even get to the nhl-level. He needs to wake up and start training harder, work on the ice, defend and pass the puck. He needs to get his head from his ass.

This team is in rough shape. Down 3-0 again and only mustered 4 shots on goal in the first 30.

They are playing to have Cassidy fired and it's plain to see.

Not just on Chadd. I agree he is likely out at the end of the year but a coach must have his horses.

Honestly, this is on the defense. They can't break out of the zone, they can't defend, they really don't do much of anything. It's just covered up because whatever goalie they throw in there plays well.

It's on the forwards just as much. Also sounds like Cassidy called out Armia's work ethic after the game. Not surprised.

Keep calling out your 20 year-old rookie, Chadd. Meanwhile, your veteran AHL forwards are failing spectacularly over the last three weeks. He's a desperate man and he doesn't know which buttons to press. Reminiscent of Ruff in his final days as Sabres coach in that respect.

I wonder if Amerks fans are longing for the "good ole days" when Ron Rolston was the coach. It's all relative, of course.

3/26 - Milwaukee hands Amerks eighth straight loss:
Quote:
The Rochester Americans fell behind by three goals late in the second period before eventually falling to the Milwaukee Admirals 3-1 Wednesday night at The Blue Cross Arena. The loss is the eighth in a row for the Amerks, who currently sit on the cusp of the Western Conference playoff picture at 30-26-6-4 heading into the final 10 games of the regular season.

The matchup marked the first time in over seven years the Admirals have traveled to Rochester to play the Amerks and just the 14th time the teams have met in their respective histories. The Admirals defeated the Amerks 2-1 in an overtime thriller back on March 2 in Milwaukee.

Kevin Sundher scored the lone goal for the Amerks early in the third period, his sixth of the season, and Andrey Makarov denied 29 of 32 shots thrown his way. Makarov has been a bright spot for the Amerks since his March 17th call-up from Fort Wayne of the ECHL, stopping 62 shots in two starts for a .925 save percentage.

Grigorenko could be here soon if Quebec loses on Friday. Kea and Locke could also be signed to try out contracts if they lose one more game to the Erie McDavids.

Happy to see Makarov playing well. Knapp has been jumped once again.

Nothing will save this team. It could be a couple weeks before they win another game. With this lineup currently I have a hard time thinking they can beat anyone. Playoffs are out of the question. The question is how many will they lose in a row.

Instead of calling up Risto and Larsson, why didn't they just call up guys like Schaller and Crawford... Leave the better players in Rochester to help with the playoff run.

‏@kevinoDandC - With callup of Ristolainen and Larsson, and injury to Jamie Tardif, #Amerks will have 6 D-men, 12 forwards for Friday vs. Toronto.

‏@kevinoDandC - #Amerks coach Chadd Cassidy said Jamie Tardif's injury will keep the right winger out 1 to 3 weeks.

‏@kevinoDandC - Mike Zigomanis did not practice today with the #Amerks.

‏@kevinoDandC - #Amerks coach Chadd Cassidy said RW Mike Zigomanis is doubtful for Friday's game. The team says he sat out Wednesday due to illness.

@RSandersonWHTK - #Amerks Tardif out 1-3 weeks, while D Mark Pysyk has about another week. MacKenzie skated but not ready. Zigomanis still ill/didn't skate.

‏@RSandersonWHTK - Sounds as though #Amerks RW Jamie Tardif's injury (looks to be left shoulder?) could be season-ending. Cassidy told media it'll be "weeks.

Goooooood lord. Rochester is going to be fielding a team that would struggle to compete in the ECHL soon..........

My guess is at the NHL level, they still have to look as if they are at least trying to have an NHL level team.

The wheels have fallen off the entire organization.

Totally blows. I was hoping Rochester could have been the bright spot.

he isn't playing like a first rounder, regardless of age.

As for Ron Ron that guy should never have coached this team, many mistakes including bringing Chadd.

This entire org has imploded since the new ownership. Money means jack in hockey ownership without smarts.
