No words to express the happiness this brings me.

So, with Yormark out, how will we make money? Now, the new business project is to revamp the on-ice product?

What? Over 2 pages cheering the departure of Yorkman without one reference to his "top 10 reasons the Panthers will make the playoffs" in what was it, 2003?

Does this mean you STHers won't be seeing ads for erectile dysfunction on the urinal soapcakes anymore?

Christmas came early here. Great deadline so far. Make a few more trades and have Jovo announce his retirement and it will be heavenly.

I wonder what this will do for things like concession prices and Club Red. Hopefully both are changed at least for hockey games. STHers deserve some respect for a change. I'll miss booing him whenever he was at a game making a presentation to an STHer in the form of a jersey or something to show his "respect". You spit in their faces the entire year then give a few a jersey and act like everything is okay. Good riddance, *******.

One thing to keep in mind folks with who's being named to replace him. Rory Babich is a lawyer from NY. Lawyers are basically the slimiest individuals on Earth and to expect a "positive" experience from this new guy, I wouldnt be holding my breath for that just yet. I'll take a "wait & see" approach before I start cheering this change...sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you dont (or another typical saying, the grass isnt always greener on the other side).

Well, you're right, but doesn't the position call for an individual who is somewhat slimy anyway..

Might be the best 24 hours in Panthers history outside of making the Cup. Seriously, a comeback win against the Isles, trading for Pirri and now this.

Dale Tallon slowly taking control more and more, and that's a very good thing. Don't let the door sponsored by Doors 'R Us hit you on the way out, Yormark.

Do you know why Yormark is leaving exactly? Did it have anything to do with the casino? I know he was pushing hard for that.

That's a pretty ridiculous thing to say.

I'm glad Yorkman is out. The old guard of the last ownership needs to be let go.

I've been told #FlaPanthers will officially announce Michael Yormark's departure, introduce Rory Babich this afternoon. Yormark to RocNation

Looks like it's completely confirmed.

We can lose every damn game for the rest of the year 37-0 and I'll still be smiling saying "At least Yormark is gone"

Love Jovo, but I hope the next announcement involves him being named special assistant to the assistant GM.

I wonder what the plan is for him going into next season?

c'mon... without knowing what type of practice this guy had, that's a ridiculous statement. law an extremely broad field and there are some good people working in it.

in any case, this isn't a devil you know situation. yorkman was a clown, an empty suit who stood for nothing. you can't be taken seriously with someone like that atop your organization. i'll take the chance any day.

While one of the main positives out of this is the potential for an increased "hockey-centric" gameplan, I am hoping that there will be an immediate change as far as the fan experience goes beginning in 2014-15. Hopefully they start to create an atmosphere at the BB&T Center that fans can be proud of rather than a cheesy tourist attraction that is always trying to sell you something.

Hopefully this is all pushing towards creating something Panthers' fans can be proud of.

And I don't know how much weight my opinion carries, but I have spoken to Rory before and he is seems genuine. I know for a fact that a majority of people in the hockey OPs department really like him, including DT which makes this an even better decision. If there is one thing this organization has lacked for a long time is it's a group of people working towards one goal.

The more people that can get on the same page, the better.

Very happy to hear this. Thanks Coop. We need cohesion and a team-oriented atmosphere at the top, just like we need it on the ice.

This is so refreshing.
