Don't the fans vote for this?

If that's the case it will go to either Zucc or McD. Both of those players have stepped up when we really needed it.

Mats Zuccarello. No one on this team went all out every game this season. No one. I don't think this roster is packed with the self starters or are wired to go every game.

The guy that comes the closest is Zuccarello.

Zucc would be my top choice, though I'd also be fine with McDonagh

Zuke, probably.

I got Girardi as a darkhorse. Mainly as a belated, make-up, win. Like Scorsese for The Departed.

Last day to vote is tomorrow. Figured it was an appropriate time to bump the thread.

Gotta be:

Zucc
or
McDonagh

I personally feel McDonagh deserves it but Zucc will probably get it and I have no issues with that at all

I voted for zucc... If he was 3 inches taller he's a superstar. Just imagine if he had Nash's size wow would he be good.

Zucc for McDonald. McDonagh for MVP.
End of Discussion.

Will the award be revealed before tonights game against Carolina?

Who ever wins, I hope he isnīt in such a hurry as Brandon Prust was

No, the ceremony will take place on Thursday, after the Buffalo game.

Zucc better get ready, McDonagh too btw...he's also a very good candidate

Hmm. Thought that was the "Blueshirts off our backs" ceremony..... As far as I can see the McD Extra Effort Award always have been presented before a game starts. My money still is on tonight before the Carolina game

Perhaps i'm alone on this but, I would honestly give it to Dominic Moore.

Just for what he's been through. Deserves the masterton, too.
