Spezza to Nashville

Why not?

Ottawa is in the east, Nashville the west. Nobody needs a spezza more than Nashville.

The offers I seen on here for him were not that strong, I think poile could land him.

What do you guys think of this trade?

Colin Wilson, Ryan Ellis and a third round pick (high third)

For spezza and a 4th

I don't think Ottawa touches that with a ten foot pole.

Would probably want Josi and Hornqvist.

Lets not get carried away here Weber is one of the best defenseman in the game today. Spezza WAS one of the best playmakers 3 years ago

Spezza missed last season, but the season before that he was 4th highest in league scoring. I'd do Forsberg, Josi and a 2nd

Only reason I made that proposal is because the other proposals for him I saw were weaker.

I thought he was worth more also.

How about josi straight up for him.

Still not close. Spezza may not be the 90 point top 5 center that he was 5 years ago, but he is still worth a young top 4 defender, and a top 6 winger.

Way to much for his injury history, age, and stats that show his decline.
I wouldn't do more than one of Wilson/ Ellis + 3rd.
I wouldn't overpay for him in the least.

That's excessive, Josi alone is currently worth more.

There is no way I give up Josi for Spezza. He has one year left on his contract. If he doesn't re-sign here, which isn't at all out of the question, we suddenly have the same hole at center (made bigger if we have to add Wilson to Josi) and we have a hole on the left side in the top four. We're right back to square one with nothing to show for it.

No thanks.

Josi for Spezza is the best you'd get

That's like saying the best piece the Senators would offer up for Shea Weber is Mika Zibanejad.

Lol, if you guys trade for Spezza you would have the same top two centers as us back in the day and the same top 3 centers as us in 2009-2010!

Not even close. And that isn't just me saying it as a fan. Poile loves Seth Jones so much that he will never trade the kid. You'll have to wait until Poile retires, and just hope whoever takes over doesn't like Jones.

Spezza doesn't make sense for the preds at all. We don't have anything to reasonably offer that other teams can't beat. Plus Spezza doesn't have much left on his contract. No interest from the preds unless its an underpayment.

This seems much more reasonable from an outside perspective.
