Not viable based on the pieces involved for either team to justify this.

Although, I have to wonder why Tim Murray would be looking to move Myers at all, since he is young and signed long-term, which is what you want on a rebuilding team.

I have to figure that if Myers is truely available, then Murray must not like him, and therefore doesn't want him on the team going forward. If true, the Sabres would more than likely need to replace the hole he creates, so they'd have to get a d-man back.

I think Kadri for Myers is fair value if both GMs were on board and it fulfilled positional needs without creating a gaping hole in their roster. However, I see zero incentive for Buffalo to do this based on their positional needs so Gardiner makes sense as the added incentive to get this done if Nonis is the one making the offer. However, if lets say the Buffalo GM offered the Leafs Myers for Kadri, I see no sense in Nonis doing it without Buffalo adding an incentive as it creates a gaping hole in our offense.

Imagine Toronto trades Kadri for defense and Bolland and McClement walk as UFAs...

yep, with Buffalo's stacked centre depth they have nowhere to put Kadri

oh wait, he'd be the best C the sabres have had since Roy. Toronto passes so hard, Myers isn't close to worth both of those two.

And he'd only be in that spot until 6/27/2014, in all likelihood.
