Well his now former coach certainly didn't think he learned much while there.

It's Chicago. Their 2nd is going to be like 58th overall or so.

Wow. Chicago is at $52K cap space now. They'll have to flip one or all of Handzus, Leddy, or Rozsival tomorrow for a cheaper replacement if they want to do anything else.

Tippett wouldn't know. He never played Rundblad. He played David effin Schlemko over him. The whole situation is a joke and terrible asset management by Phoenix. Completely embarrassing, even if Rundblad doesn't amount to anything.

God I hate this question.

He's 23 and still developing as a defensemen. He played 50 games in the AHL last year and put up like 40 points.

He's gonna be just fine. I just didn't realize Chicago had a hole to fill on defense. Anyone wanna clue me in on their depth chart?

Coyotes send Rundblad and Brisebois (minor leaguer) to Chicago for a 2nd rd pick this year.
Edited title accordingly.

Thank god!
Rundblad has a huuuuge potential if he can get his defensive game going!

I'm a Phoenix fan.

I'm happy for Rundblad.

It sucks it turned out this way, but it is what it is.

Don't really get it for CHI. Not bad per se, but they must really still see something in him, because it's not a right now move and unless they are trading Seabrook (which I very much doubt) what could they really turn one of their cheaper Dmen into that they can fit under the cap.

Got to love this guy if you're a Blues or Ottawa fan, who got Tarasenko and Turris for him, respectively. Very sad if you're a Phoenix fan, though, as all you got for Turris is two crappy seconds.

Yesterday Phoenix fans were laughing at the idea of taking Dallas' 2nd for Rundblad

Chicago's 2nd is practically a 3rd. Great deal for Chicago, unfortunately.

Ottawa traded their 1st round pick to St. Louis for David Rundblad. St. Louis took Tarasenko.

Ottawa traded Rundblad and a 2nd for Kyle Turris.

Phoenix traded Rundblad and someone else for a 2nd.

Why are people assuming the Hawks are looking to make any kind of spectacular moves? Bowman said a couple days ago that they did their deadline move when they acquired Versteeg. Now they are just adjusting the farm & future a bit.

He'll probably be slotting in the #6 slot next to Leddy, rotating with Brookbank and Roszival.

Brookbank and Rosi have both been lackluster this year, but no one really considered them so bad that they needed to be replaced immediately.

Except Bowman, apparently.

Slick move for Chicago, still has a lot of potential.

He's still just 23 and has all the tools to become a very good D in place: size, hands, character.. Still easily worth ~#55 pick.

Kind of strange, Ottawa traded #66 pick for Filatov and and everyone applauded it as a good low risk/high reward deal. Chicago trades the pick around ten places higher and the questions like "how is he still worth that" arise.
