He's becoming a PP specialist who gets limited 5 on 5 ice time.

Only reason he would be traded is the Blues are making another big trade and we have to ship some $$$ out. He is a UFA so any team will just eat his salary this year and let him walk. He has little to no value but any deal he would have to be included.

Roy, Berglund, Cole, and Cola are the only 4 players on the roster that likely would be moved unless its some kind of crazy deal and Shattenkirk goes.

I'll believe it when I see it. Garrioch is the same idiot who said the Blues were dangling Oshie.

Don't need a defensive prospect. If we move Roy, it'll be in a package for a better center. That's our only need.

Why would the canucks trade for a guy they could have signed? Especially if he costs Corrado?

Yeah he's just too small and not gritty or good enough defensively to really fit into our system. Hitch doesn't really trust him, so it'd be nice if we could upgrade him. That is our final need on this roster and if we could go into the playoffs with a better player than Derek Roy... I'd feel really good about our chances.

I'd send Callahan for him at this point.

I think this was a joke based on the Canucks acquiring Roy for a Dman prospect and 2 rounder last year

I don't see any reason to trade him. He seems to be producing just fine, and it never hurts to have redundancy in case of injury.

Surprised at how ineffective he's been this year.

If St. Louis somehow manages to replace him with Kesler, I'm going to cry.

If he's being shopped, Bergevin and the Habs are at the front of the line

Imagine they move his contract then grab Kesler, they would have the space for it.

Backes/Kesler/Ott/Sobotka

My god that's nasty.

Remember how many "experts" thought Roy was a genius signing? yeah...there's a reason this guy couldn't get anything long-term. I thought it was a weird fit for him in St.Louis and it sounds like it is.

Which is weird, because in Buffalo, the puck died on his stick when he got it along the boards while up a man. I saw him as third line depth scoring that was somewhat of a defensive asset, but it seems he hasn't really been able to deliver on that since his stint in Dallas.

He hasn't been terrible, but he isn't the center solution either.

I doubt he gets moved unless a replacement comes back in the same, or different trade.
