Coyotes Not Done, Want to Flip Chicago's 2nd rounder, Possibly bringing in Hemsky?

Per Sarah McLellan:
Quote:
#Coyotes are still looking to use second round pick from Chicago. They're still open to dealing.

Maloney said they'd like to add another forward, maybe a defenseman.
Per John Shannon:

Quote:
Hearing Phoenix is kicking tires on Ales Hemsky.
Also many a rumor of Whitney back to Phoenix. Could be interesting to see the type of offense the Yotes bring in.

I can see it, where does Hemsky play though with Vrbata and Doan as the 1/2RW?

We can move Moss down to the 4th line.

Boedker-Ribeiro-Hemsky
Erat-Hanzal-Vrbata
Korpikoski-Vermette-Doan
Moss-Chipchura-Klinkhammer

Biz/Halpern

Could work, though that forward group needs a lot of work

I can definitely see the Yotes flipping a 2nd for Hemsky. Makes a lot of sense.

Hoping for more than a late 2nd, but I guess it's better than a 3rd. He'd be a good fit for Phoenix.

You can have Whitney for a 5th rounder.

Hemsky would do very well in the Phoenix system. He played great under MacT in a defensive system.

He also is familiar with Erat and Vrbata.

Very nice if they pull this off. Could upset a St Louis or Chicago in the 1st round imo.

Dreger says "no fewer than 6 teams interested in Hemsky."

That Shannon tweet was before the Erat acquisition. Don't know if Phoenix would want Hemsky now.

Yotes just grabbing playmakers ? Who will score the goals other than Bata?
Riberio has changed their Top 6, and the Erat addition will be good. He can fit in a Tippet system if he can fit in a Trotz system.

Coyotes were in the top 10 GF at the start of the season with a lesser roster. Tippett gets more with less. Don't forget you've got OEL and Yandle on the back end.

Coyotes are still after a forward and possibly a D per local media

Sarah McLellan ‏@azc_mclellan 39m
Maloney said they'd like to add another forward, maybe a defenseman.

If Ray Whitney can manage, so can Hemsky.

Hemsky`s best hockey was played under MacT who runs a similar style

Hold on! If LA has to take Cammalleri in order to get Giordano, we can flip the former to Phoenix for a 2nd!

If you retain 50% of his salary and agree to take Moss.

I think the arrival of Erat would make Hemsky a redundant acquisition - he's not an ideal winger for Ribeiro, who really needs a pure triggerman.

But I wonder who else we're going to target. Boyes is off the table, and it appears Seto is on his way back to SJ.
