After trading for ROnald Mcdonald Mezz better go, even if you have to give him away.

****** thing about waiting if we are to make a trade is that we will be short handed tonight in a HUGE game.

Unless they win a cup.

Marty is an awesome pickup but man if they loose Boyle they may not have a defensive bone among their forwards.

None of that makes sense to me.

Yes, Mez will be gone, either before the deadline or in July.

Every team that makes a trade today is basically in that position, minus the occasional private-jet situation. But the decline in prices on Deadline Day vs. two or three days earlier is more useful than one extra game with a player.

That is what is listed by the Yahoo Sports writer. Sounds good to me.

I guess we know why Steve Yzerman looked uncomfortable at times at the Team Canada announcement. St. Louis left off the team, originally. This is a culmination of sorts.

the Macdonald trade definitely will be even more questioned if Holmgren doesnt deal Meszaros. no need to have NINE defenseman on the roster with none of them waiver eligible.

Couple injuries away from not being able to dress players at the end of the year in crucial games

#BlueJackets Marian Gaborik was on his way to the #LAKings before the Kings pulled out last minute with word that the price for #Islanders Vanek & #Sabres Moulson is coming down. The Kings are still negotiating the price for Gaborik and it's believed a deal will get done but there is still a lot of offence on the market including another secondary option in #Flames Cammalleri.

Homer has always said that he likes a lot of depth on defense going into the playoffs. I bet he doesn't move Mez and they keep 9 defensemen on the roster with one-way contracts. Laughs shall be had.

Unless of course freaky things happen as your team advances and then chooses to play Sami Kapanen on defense when Eric Weinrich was deemed an extra. Different era, however.

I am not questioning the move at all. We over value draft picks too much here. We still have our 1st and 2nd from this year and there is always other deals that can be made in the future to recoup some picks moved. MacDonald is not the #1 we need, but he is capable of moving the puck and plays in all situations. It's a good move, not brilliant but not bad.

All quiet on the Paul Holmgren front right now. Too quiet.

Agree. too quiet. But have faith, the hockey world will quake.
