Good value, surprised we were able to get that. Rangers got desperate. Any idea what year the picks are or if they're conditional in anyway?

I'm sorry for your loss. At least you got a couple draft picks involved. Just not the best news to hear.

Words I never thought I would say.

**** you St. Louis, **** you.

Seriously, I thought he would always be here. Thought he would work for the team after he retired. Totally gutted by this.

Always have loved Callahan though. Lets see what he does for this team.

The team was streaking downward badly let remember.

Lol, he wanted to go. I for one, welcome our new captain, Steven Stamkos.

Does TB promote one of the A's to C (That conversation begins and ends with Nate Thompson, IMO), or go captainless until next year when Stamkos inherits the team?

We're all just shaking our heads right now. What a day.

Ryan Callahan is traded to Tampa without an understanding of an extension.

Right. The guy is going on 39. When he retires and you still have Callahan and players developing from those picks you aren't going to be that bothered by this moment.

WTF makes you think there is any.

This is MSL being a pain in the ass and putting the team and the city that has always supported him when nobody else wanted him over a ****ing barrel.

Still 14 forwards. Will Steve flip Callahan?

I just don't understand why MSL would want to get out of town?

Flip Rochester native Callahan and the TB 1st to Buffalo for Erhoff. That's what I'd do, contract term be damned.

Well, trying to take a positive out of this, it's always fun to see Sather make a complete ass out of himself.

You give Stamkos the C before tomorrows game. Why would you wait or talk about Thompson?

Don't be surprised if with wind up with Kessler or Edler by the end of the day.

We got a lot of chips to play now!

He wanted out, Yzerman had to do it. It's a shame his ego got in the way and ended his time here in Tampa. Sad day for the franchise but it had to be done.

I'd give it to Stamkos right away. Fans and the team need a positive and Stammer wearing the 'C' can make it that.

Terrible logic if you're looking from Stamkos's point of view, if we don't get into serious "win-now" mode you can easily be seeing this similar event 2 years down the line.
