Interesting. Would have thought the Sabres would have just kept their picks.

Other thought: LA might want to swap 1 or both of those 2nds for a proven winger.

McNabb = Deslaurier
Fasching = Two 2nd round picks?

Doesn't look like a good move from Tim.

WOW. Really surprised. I know DL loves his 2nd round picks and ends up with absolute steals, but we just gave up 2 prospects that I was pretty high on.

The picks really makes things better, but I'm not happy about trading Fasching

Why is Buffalo trading 2 2nd round picks?

What are they getting back in return worth that much value?

I like fasching and McNabb was the odd man out here, but adding 2 2nds for a guy that was just drafted in the 4th round and a minor leaguer? Seems like overpayment

Better than I could say it.

Seems like a totally fair trade, as i oscillate between anger and happiness

Buffalo just got two more really, really good prospects. We got a Martinez(?) replacement (ugh) and some picks back. Maybe we're dealing a d-man for Gaborik after all.

I guess...and I might be a little biased...I've been following Hudson since he was 9 years old as he played with and against my son. Great kid with a great family story (Google the ESPN article). Has all the tools you want in a big power forward.

One of the best.. undrafted Matt Carey leads all freshman in scoring for SLU

Depending on what year they are they might think that the prospects have a better chance of reaching the NHL than anyone they'd draft with those picks.

LA likely trading a defenseman in a Gaborik deal.

If we indeed get two 2nd round picks, meh, I'm happy. Kings are ****ing $$$ in the second round.

I think Fasching would probably go in the first round if it was a re-draft. He's a great prospect but years away from being an NHLer.

Sounds like Buffalo really wanted Fasching.

Great trade by LA, getting 2 2nd and a depth defenseman for a guy they just picked in the 4th round.

Funny how it's always the same teams that seems to come out on top of every deal they make.
