I hope he has a stellar game vs the sens. This has happened acouple times with Carey he has a rough game or two then his confidence and play go south. Don't get me wrong infact I think he is a top 3 goalie in the league but hopefully he is confident enough to not let two mediocre games get to him.

The problem atm with Price its his speed. Didnt watch a lot of game this season, but before the Christmas break, i was seeing a Price that was moving very quick, showing that new style i love to watch. I watch the game yesterday vs Dallas and i found him like weighting 20 more pounds, not as quick in his lateral moves. Maybe he hate too much turkey during the holiday, i dunno. Or maybe hes getting tired and really show a sign he cannot be a 65+ game starter ??? Future will tell.

So his .923 sv pct in 72 games in 2010-2011 and .916 sv pct in 65 games in 2011-2012 obviously don't count.

He's going through a minor rough patch..I don't think any of us thought he wouldn't have a rough oatch during the year. Most of the top starters in the league have rough patches. Tuuka Rask has given up 8 goals in the last 43 shots he's faced. Price is still 5th in sv pct in the league for goalies that have started over 20 games.

Seriously though, wtf. I half understand being quick to label December as some sort of slump that was half expected, but when you look at the numbers and the performances, I don't think it looks anything like the "slumps" we've seen in the past. His numbers for December, while well below the numbers he was putting up so far this season, were still almost exactly in line with his career averages, and still good enough to go 7-3-1.

Having said that, can't rate him above mediocre for last night. Technique and glove just weren't on at all.

Not saying he suck or talking about him giving 9 goals in the last two games. Lots of those goals he couldnt have done anything from where he were, but for some, with the same speed he was showing lately, could have been saved imo. He got train with a new agressive style, but from what i watch yesterday, he remind me of the less speedy Price we are used to see last season and before.

I am not worried about the goals he gave, but about the speed he's showing. Talent and reflex are there, but something seem to slow him down a bit. And im just wondering if he could do an agressive style all season long. Thats my question mark here. Time will tell.

He's just going through a little slump IMO. However he has seemed to slow a little towards the end of the season. Like you said, time will tell. As long as the team is stepping up, it doesn't matter all that much. The problem is when they rely solely on their goaltender to win games like they've been doing lately.

He's not trusting his D right now and he's overplaying.

Saw him slide way out at least 3 times last night. Got scary.

He did it on the first goal against Carolina. Which is complete opposite of how composed we've seen him in the net all season prior.

The way our D has been playing, I think you'd start seeing cracks in my composure as well were I in his place. He's gonna need anti-anxiety meds.

I'm glad I've missed most of these games.

Saw the highlights from the Carolina game though and the game winner looked like a softie. We saw another softie from him last night. I guess we should've expected this but we've seen so few all year long that it's scary to see two of them in back to back games.

There was no way he could keep going at that pace though, sooner or later a slump had to happen. Now the question is will it be a short one or are we looking at something bigger?

And its scary to think that we've decided (by choice) to put Bouillion AND Murray in the lineup at the same time. That's just a nightmare.

I'm not sure how any NHL coach could think this was a good idea.

He's actually been very consistent aside from his collapse last season.

Price looks to be playing himself out of an invite to Sochi.

They do kind of end up going hand in hand. Just have to work through it. Unfortunately his teammates do very little to help him.

Certainly didn't have any tonight... And I thought he was amazing in the 3rd period.

He's been pretty bad the last two weeks, minus the Tampa game.

He should still be going though.
