As long as there's no surgery for Galchenyuk...it's good news considering all circumstances.

It's a big loss in terms of skill...but not a huge loss in terms of impact on the team.

I feel ok with it, because MT decided Galchy was not gonna be a big part of the game plan this season anyway, so that doesn't change much. We can get through tampa without him.

We have depth. I'm happy Briere is in this team. He's playing very well the past 3 games. Lots of speed, lots of patience.

Briere's been pretty effective for more than the last 3 games. Maybe we'll have the playoff Briere we've heard so much about.

Sucks for Galchenyuk. Definitely want to see Brière get a bigger role. You can't just ignore his ridiculous playoffs statistics.

He was on the 2nd line with Pleky, not sure how that's not a "big part of the game plan"?

I feel for Galchenyuk, especially getting injured this late into the playoffs, but this is also an opportunity to for another young player to step up. I think Bournival could be that guy.

I'd really love to get Moen back for game one. I haven't heard that
he is skating or anything, so I'm getting worried.

Friggin injuries! Don't do this to us again hockey gods. Just call up the Bulldogs for the last 2 games.
I guess Tampa probably feels worse with Bishop out, but we're at Moen, Prust, and now Chucky. 3 important guys imo. And Bouillon shakes off a slapshot to the palm

Any official report on Galchenyuk's injury?

Can't trust rumours or second-hand knowledge.

Not sure where you see his progression exactly, I don't see any improvements over his defensive game (nor his offensive one btw). He is where he was last year.
I'm not knocking on him, he's young, it's fine, I just disagree with the notion that he's improved his defensive game from last year.

This. I'm not believing anything until I hear an official release from Habs staff.

It's still a week until playoffs start.

well, your a hater anyways, but i understand, would of liked a better year out of him but id blame therrien and ellers regression more then galchenyuk himself, we are a better team with him on the ice than without, and he looked good on second PP waves, so again, your comment is really just haterism at best, your good at it

injury prone doesnt exist, it would be absolutely ridiculous to think one person is ABLE to get HURT more then another person just BECAUSE there is something out there magically called "injury prone" like in a video game..

an INJURY can be injury prone, ..but a player? no one man isnt able to get hurt more than someone else , were all made the same, its not like "injury prone" is some kind of genetic in the body
galchenyuks left knee , could be injury prone if he hurts it more then once

but its like saying a player gets concussed on a hit, misses some time,..comes back to the game, blocks a shot, which happens to hit him in a certain spot and breaks his foot and has to miss more time, ...people call that "injury prone"...why? it could happen to ANYONE.. you just never know when freak accidents occur, there can be an injury to ANYone on EVERY single body check thrown in every single game
, by definition, EVERYone is injury prone.

havlats bum left shoulder, THATS an injury prone, he keeps hurting and hurting it,

anyways

#Habs Therrien not disclosing results from Galchenyuk's MRI earlier today. Galchenyuk will meet with team doctor this evening for evaluation

Heard it was a FLU?

Eller should be ready for GAME 1.
(He has approx. 4-5 days to rest...plenty of time).

Doesn't sound bad either!!?!!

Let's wait...hate waiting but nothing we can do!!
(Galchy probably also has to wait...they probably don't know for sure yet...few days?, one week? two weeks? more?,etc).

We have forward depth, but please...no more injuries!!!
(knock on wood).

We're lucky to have a solid two-way player in Bournival.
And...Eller has to pick it up sooner than later... Bourque is a playoff warrior (was one of our best VS Ottawa last season).
Briere (not long ago) was a HUGE PLAYOFF hero (HUGE)...etc,etc.

Weise is back
(great chemistry between Weise, White, and Bournival).

Now...we just have to wait for news on Moen, Prust, and Galchy.

I was doing your "Go Health Go!" chant for the last two weeks, knowing that so much of playoff success depends on it. Just can't accept another year of playing broken....

Right now I'm focusing my cosmic brain-healing beams on Travis Moen. Once he's back I'll get to work on Prust and Galchenyuk.

Hahaha!!!! Exactly!! It's all about health...
(good luck with your cosmic brain-healing beams...anything to get all or most of our players back and to keep our current players...healthy and strong!!).

And, same here...can't wait to hear some good news on Moen, and then...we can work on Prust and Galchy!!

I think I'm more worried about us staying healthy VS anything else right now!! Of course home advantage would be great but I think I'm more worried about the health of our players!!!

Here we go...

Go Health Go!!!!!!!! (stay healthy and strong!!!!!)
