Good, rushing him at this stage in his career would be an unforgivable offense.

Cons of scratching Prust, though, is that he's a leader on and off the ice, young kids look to him and even hurt he put Gudas in his place last series. Wiese/Prust/Moen had a few good shifts last game too.
What is the story with Prust anyways? He didn't have a great season this year when he was able to play even though he always stuck up for his team mates.(which is awesome and I know the team loved his moxy and jam)
I think I heard this year he needed surgery. If that is the case is it Prust decision or the teams decision to shut him down and get him health for next season???

I know in my heart I don't want to lose Prust for the playoffs, but really he only seems to be playing at a 60-70% with his body...but always playing at 120% of heart.

His injury history at 20 is scary nonetheless. I'm starting to get worried about his knees. That can prevent him from talking the next step and improve his skating.

his skating is fine, the only thing thats preventing him from being dominant is his size
but he's getting there, he is winning more and more puck battles

I doubt whether he'd be a game changer at this point. Dressing him prematurely might put him at risk of more severe injury.

Too bad this kid isn't healthy because we sure as hell could use him.

Two totally different things. His stats are relevant. His health is relevant.
It's not just his scoring ability but his overall offensive touch and ability to draw attention. I should have said high-end talent.

This is a player that if given PP opportunity and coaching staff confidence could be a very effective contributor. The skill is there, where he is less effective is in contact areas.

You worry far too easily. He'll be fine.

If he's available, do we put him in instead of Moen in game 4?

Only if he is 100%, this kid is such a long term asset to us it would irresponsible to play him before he is ready and risk long term damage.

Love what we are doing in the playoffs without Chucky in the lineup. So hopeful for the future with this guy back and healthy

big time. he's also the reason why i'd keep vanek. though vanek hasn't been quite up to snuff, he still has 4 goals in 6 games against the Bs. That number would probably be higher if he had a better Galchenyuk.

Sorry but what? If Vanek wasn't on this team, who would of scored his 4 goals? (ok one was an empty net, so 3)? Moen? Parros? White? He has been up to snuff, unless you expected him to be a completely different player than he has been his whole career. (Works hard sometimes, but mainly floats looking for a good opportunity)

What has Galchenyuk done for you to be convinced that Vanek would be playing better with him?

Somewhat of good news. Twitter is reporting that Galchenyuk took part in the optional team practice today.

That's great news.

Anyone know if he's ready to play or how good he looks out there?

Doubt they throw him into the lineup in a game 7 after missing all the playoffs but good news when we don't make the next round!

Optional practice is almost always no contact anyway so I assume that.

How does Galchenyuk look for the upcoming series? Would he even have a spot?
