Gagner to Chicago?

With MacT saying in his presser today that Gagner isn't part of the core moving forward, he's as good as gone. I'm thinking he's going to get moved for a pick if they can't find anything else. What do you guys think of:

Edmonton
Gagner

Chicago
2nd round
Regin

Hopefully it happens. I can see Gagner being an effective center with Kane and Saad as his wingers. Plus maybe we can see more of this video.

(Sorry I don't know how to add it normally.)

Disregarding everything else, his cap hit alone makes him coming to Chicago an automatic non-starter.

I don't want anything from that franchise infecting Chicago.
I'm kidding, I hope.

The cap hit kills a deal anyway.

Instead of a sarcastic response, i'll just say that Gagner does not fit this Hawks team, neither in cap hit nor attributes.

This proposal has been suggested many, many times over the past 3 years and it gets worse and worse every time it's brought up

Get with the times.

If anything, the Chicago Blackhawks will be dumping contracts this off-season, not adding overpaid, overvalued, undersized forwards.

The caphit already makes this a no-go. And I am sure his defensive deficiencies would make Q explode.

Proposals at this time? There is barely money for Morin, Smith, TT and a goalie...

Anyone with a proposal should teach themselves the following

1. Simple math
2. How to operate Capgeek.com

I actually wouldn't be opposed to Gagner if Edmonton would retain half of his salary. And Rozsival would probably have to be included. But signing Smith, Raanta, and/or Morin and staying under the cap would still be tough.

But with Teravainen, I'd be really surprised if they make a trade for Gagner or any center.

Not interested at all in Gagner..but if the Hawks are interested, Bickell would have to go the other way along with Roszival.

Gagner at 50% of the salary and I'd say yes...

How many people are going to suggest this? Might as well strip the entire team and replace them with only players that Kane knows

Frankly would rather have Handzus over Gagner

At least I know Handzus will make an effort defensively ,, Unlike Gagner

Gagner has become a much more well rounded player. Still not good in his own zone but he's not that bad anymore as he once was

I go back and forth with bringing Ganger to Chicago. On one hand, I know, as a Knights fan, that Kane and Gagner were outstanding linemates in Junior - and beyond that, great friends. I'm sure they could play well on a line together.

But, at the same time, his caphit is too high and I think he'd be better suited to wing than centre.

Really? I think one of the worst things about him is how little he has progressed. On top of that, he's incredibly lazy.

yep, Gagner is even behind Bickell on my list of lazy players, and I personally think Bickell may as well be scooting a recliner around the ice some days.

I'm sorry but we cant waste 4.8 million dollars in the cap era. It's not happening. Erase your mind of the idea immediately.

Never understood the OHL logic. It was like 8 years ago and they were playing against teenagers

Gagner is a total "buy low" player, but his contract is horrible. Half salary for Bickell and a 2nd? and then Bickell immediately traded back for half salary?
