You've got to be ****ing kidding me. I used to play hockey, I know what it's like. Most of the time you don't even see the guy coming and when you actually do it's a split second reaction. Don't call him dumb.

That was a nice skating and slap shot by Vinnie. Huberdeau should take note.

Why does Hayes keep winding up on his ass? That's 3 times I've seen him fall.

Lol Hayes skating is interesting to say the least. I always think of that breakaway goal he scored this year.

Thou it seems players do that pretty often these days to fish calls.
Because players intentionally put themselves in vulnerable positions to get themselves hurt . "Hmm, let's see how I can potentially suffer a career ending injury to draw a penalty" goes through every young player's head as they're going after a puck. No need to justify a total d-bag comment by blaming Pirri for a dirty hit...

I enjoy him, but it's almost like his skate is broken. Lol

Trocheck has been really good tonight, more impressed with him than Pirri. Give him a few games this season and he'll learn and be really good in the future.

No, it really wasn't. Foligno had him lined up for a perfectly legal hit before he decided to turn. The onus is as much on the receiving player as the one doing the actual hit. Pirri put himself into a vulnerable position near the boards, and that should be a thing he'll remember the rest of his career, or at least that's what I hope.

Maybe it was partly lack of communication between Pirri and whoever was there on the ice with him; but turning his back like that, that close to the board, while a known physical player Foligno is closing in?

Dumb.

Disagree, the follow through was unnecessary. Pirri turned but he was playing the puck, he can't just stop the play because it's near the boards.

edit: drunk

I'll happily eat crow on Boyes. I thought he was mostly a product of Barkov, and I was thinking he was going to crumble when Barkov went down with the knee injury. He's done fantastic without him and is looking really good with Bergy and Bjugs.

I agree. Very good skater, good shot and he is shifty and he is very active in the offensive zone. I like him already.
