Where's Kovalchuk?

How did he look at camp?

I barely heard about him this month...

He's having some difficulty putting the biscuit in the basket. The goals will come though, at least he is slumping in preseason action.

While he hasnt been putting the goal in the net, his all around game has been fantastic.

That is good to hear. I haven't had the chance to make it out for any preseason games yet. Is there a noticeable difference in his commitment to defense?

From what I've been able to tell from the radio broadcasts it seems like he is trying to set up Stefan/Piros or other linemates more than he used to. Am I right or wrong on that?

He was doing that in the second half of last year as well. He's going to need to bury his chances this year with Heatly out for who knows how long.
