Of course, the playoffs are a totally different story.

Probably will earn Roy an Adams though. He turned the dumpster fire into a competitive team or at the very least deserves enough credit to earn the reward.

Hitchcock already had a great team and it just got better.

I didn't want Penner back but it really sucks he's back in Anaheim. I wanted the Kings to be his las SoCal stop.

The Ducks dumped him for a 4th round pick at the trade deadline, and haven't won a game since

The Ducks did the dumb dumb move of shedding salary before actually acquiring the player.

Agree, but we weren't the best team in the league when we were struggling. Our problems stemmed more from not scoring goals than playing bad hockey. The Ducks aren't playing good hockey... period.

Chemistry is a very fickle thing. I imagine more than a few guys weren't happy, especially since they moved him for really no reason.

It seemed like they only had one big plan in mind and they failed. Knowing Dean, he probably had a plan b, plan c, plan d, plan c+d...lol you get it.

But I have to be honest here. It was posted in the first period and it was a reference to the Islanders' 7 in one period the other night against Vancouver. I think the Flames had 4 with still 8 minutes to go or something last night. What a totally horrible effort by the Ducks last night. Definitely their worst game by far all season.

Someone brought up that the team might be in disarray a bit after the Penner trade, and that the locker room might be upset at the front office (although it wouldn't be openly, of course). I can see where the chemistry would be upset a bit. But their was no effort at all last night, that team looked like Buffalo on a bad night.

Don't think Bruce Boudreau will have a tough time rallying his Anaheim Ducks before Wednesday night's game in Calgary.

Yakupov is now an NHL worst -33, they are going to try and trade that kid this offseason

Ryan Smyth has obviously not turned him into a great defensive forward like he did with Kopitar. Guy has lost his mojo.

I hate the plus/minus stat, but that's an incredibly disgusting plus/minus total. Oilers should ship him off for a defenseman. Have all this talent up front, and are bare on the backend.

He's probably their most moveable piece of massive value (I guess Eberle would be a close 2nd) but they'd better act on it before it's too late. Yak's got all the talent in the world and he's not a stupid kid but he needs some heavy development time and mentorship that the oilers can't provide imo.

Agreed. Hall and RNH are core players. Not to say Yakupov isn't a core player, but he could return the most without hurting their forward corps. I don't think Yakupov will develop well if he stays with Edmonton, honestly. There's not much mentoring around for him to learn from. The return the Oilers could get for potential alone...

They don't have enough veteran presence around that team and its hurting the young stars. That team should have been developed to contend at least two years ago. Very bad management to keep drafting the same type of player. They need grinders to balance themselves out. I can't believe how much talent exists on that team yet they continue to flounder. SMH.
