Apparently he was rushed to the hospital.

Good news. Lindy Ruff comes out of the hall way and says Rich Peverley is going to be ok

He recently returned after heart issues.... I sure hope he is OK, but man, I'd be reassessing my career choice after this latest episode.

Scary scene in Ottawa too...

Glad Peverley is going to be OK. That's terrifying.

I'm sure he's not out of the woods yet, but it sounds like he's ok for now.

Stars confirm Rich Peverley has been taken to the hospital and is conscious. Peverley has been managing an irregular heartbeat this season.

Yeah, I don't either. Especially given the fact that he has chronic heart problems. The doctors will keep a strict eye on him though.

it's going to be a matter of time before someone gets killed by a puck unless they take measures now. it's the same technology battle with college baseball and the bats. they 'dumbed' down the bats a few seasons back to protect the pitchers.

Yeah, especially when Shea Webber is teeing up. Can't even imagine what it felt like...

Dr. Gil Salazar: "we treated [Peverley] for cardiac event successfully"

According to Dr. Salazar, Peverley was aware of where he was when became conscious and wanted to get back in to the game.

i cant imagine blocking him, Chara, Souray any of those guys that get tracked at 100MPH+. i've taken plenty of shots over the years, had some serious doozy of bruises and broken pads, but those guys are on a different level above the average NHLer even. i can't imagine what some guys look like after blocking their shots

I remember when Pronger took a Dmitri Mironov (who could really fire the puck) slap shot off the chest and his eyes rolled back into his head. That was really scary.

Didn't they ask his family to go down to the lockerroom over the PA? That would be terrifying

Quacks just scored and I don't trust the Leafs D. They were aweful on Perry's goal. Kadri pretty much left Perry and he scores.
