I think Toronto made a HUGE mistake signing another watermelon head in Lindros. With the less clutching and grabbing in the league now that just means more hits...and more hits means Allison- Out in 20 games or less and Lindros- Out first period first game

So you are suggesting his length of performance on the ice in a Leaf uniform will be just a touch longer than your time of intelligent posting on this board?

Im just stating my opinion on the issue at hand. I hope that neither one of them get injured, its just part of their track record in the league.
[QUOTE=ULF_55]I've heard the Leafs are hiring away all the training staff from the Habs because of how durable the Habbies are and .... sorry an interuption here ...
Hmmm, yes, oh I see.
Sorry, someone just told me the Habs aren't the team I was thinking of.
Apparently, over the years the Habs haven't been that durable.
Never mind, you can keep your staff.
I did not say I WISHED this would happen. I only said this might happen in a very bad game, but all this HATE is just nuts.
Let me now do as you guy do
The leafs are about to set an NHL all time goals for record 1000 goals and all of them by bodychecking everything that move putting Forsberg, Thornton, Naslund, Bertuzzi and Hatcher out for the year on the first shift in each game. The NHL will have to put in new rules to break up the MIGHTY LEAFS.
Allison (75 points, 30 G, 45 A)
Lindros (70 points, 35 G, 35 A)
O'Neil (65 points, 35 G, 30 A)
Optimism is great and everything, but those 3 players combined for 24 goals last NHL season, and they have just collected dust since. I think 100 goals between them is a bit of a stretch. Especially O'Neil. He can't even blame head injuries for his poor showing last season.
will a 32 yr old lindros be the saviour of the leafs
is he one more concussion away from retiring permanetly like brother brett lindros
how will leafs mgmt and lindros get along sure it's great now but remember clarke loved lindros once upon a time too..
he'll have an injury within 5 games and spend the rest of the season cruising the toronto bar scene pickin up chicks. The guy is going to be as useful as a bag of hammers in a china shop.
Injured in game 1 by a massive Anton Volchenkov hit as Lindros skates through the middle with his head down.
Is this guy a rookie, I do not remember him at all ever being a threat to the Buds ? Who the hey is he, all Ottawa fans are goo-goo over him (and I assume in a manly type of way), yet I do not ever remember him playing against the Buds in any of the play-off series that if memory serves me correct that Ottawa has NEVER won. Must be a very good rookie !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He only did it after he heard the Leafs signed Lindros.. that's the rumor.
Sens fans talking tough about their team to Leafs fans. I think it is so cute.
This Volchenkov character certainly comes highly touted. I know he must have suited up against the Leafs, but for the life of me, I just can't remember him being on the ice.
Mr. Zamboner, please take this message back to the other Sens fans located in that minor league city known as Ottawa:
If they are expecting to see Volchenkov sliding at full speed across the blue line aiming at Eric's, Jason's or whoever's head then they should also expect Wade Belak earning a 20 game suspension from laying such a beating on Anton that a police investigation will likely ensue. That violence will be followed by Tie Domi laying a beating on Varada, Neil, or any other supposed Sens tough guy trying to re-establish the equilibrium.
Stop talking tough Sen fan. It makes you look silly.
Even though I am a Sens fan, I come in peace. I like Toronto signing Lindros not because I want some Sens player to end his career, rather I like it because I want both teams to be strong. If the Sens do eventually beat the Leafs in the playoffs, I want them to beat a full lineup of good players, not a 2nd rate imitation of a hockey team like so many were predicting for this team after the FA period began. I'd say the same if the Leafs beat us. As long as we're healthy and the game is clean, I have no problem with it
That being said, I see Lindros falling between his 01/02 and 03/04 PPG totals... 74GP, 31G, 39A, 70Pts
I expect Lindros to do 1 PPG this season.I cannot predict how many game he will play, but you can trust me Lindros will be my no.5th pick in my hockey pool this season .
Im really sure he will do that point per game, if not more.
