How many enforcers do the Leafs need? Domi and Belak not enough?

In the new, fast NHL? I don't think so. How many fighters are going to be in the lineup each game? 3? 4?

They have this thing called the AHL where you send players that aren't in your lineup. All of these enforcers aren't actually going to be on the team and I would be suprised if Hoffman ever play a game for the Leafs.

So Domi, Belak, and Parrott are all going to be sent to the minors? Oh I see....

Perrot isn't signed and yes, he will likely be in the minors. Belak will probably be a healthy scratch on many nights.

Thanks for the advice. It is that much more valuable when your tag line is "Quit being so gay".

Wouldn't you rather save the roster spots for players who can actually play the game?

Domi is a guy that you need in the playoffs and Belak is a guy you don't mess with. And why would I want to put guys who can play the game, I'm assuming you mean prospects and young players, on the fourth line where they rot away on the bench?

And who would you recommend for the fourth line? A line that will get 5-7 minutes of playing time at most?

Look at the list of UFA and RFA and I'm sure you'll find a quality 3rd/4th liner who can actually play hockey.

To say that the NHL will be much faster paced is an overstatement. I don't think taking the red line out will do much at all frankly, but I'm hyped up about the bigger offensive zones. Remember that physical contact is what makes the NHL unique from other hockey leagues.

Don't forget who John's father was...he has a lot of respect for that role. Even if it is just for the Marlies, he knows how important it is to have thoe tough guys...his dad practically invented the role.
