What did you do? Watch this one game and base the entire season on it?

check out his play

look at his games before break and after. he is in the 20....in save percentage. i could name at least 15 goalies in league that are better.

We've had like 4 games since the break.

He had a very bad December, yet he's still at .914, on a team with a defense that has spent December, January, and February in full meltdown.

His play hasn't been stellar, but outside of December it hasn't really been bad either. He's been average. I don't think it's time to jump off a tall bridge yet.

Steve Mason has 4 playoff games, from his rookie year. This is a small sample size.

You know who else had a bad first playoffs? Sergei Bobrovsky, the reigning Vezina Trophy winner.

Besides, all of the goals have been Gus's fault anyway. He was INVISIBLE last night!

Yeah, lets talk about the real issue here, shall we? Gus's play has been horrible lately. He's been responsible for every goal against in the last 3 games and Homer's probably about to sign him to a max term contract. And of course this is all after he trades our savior Mez to the Bruins. How are we supposed to win a cup with a goon like Gus in the lineup after Homer trades away our AllStar #1D..? The first thing that needs to be done is taking the C away from Giroux, no real captain would allow this to happen.

you know you have one excellent goalie in KHL?

Jakub Kovar 93,1% 2,01GAA 6SO ... is playing for Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg

- best KHL goalie of December and January
- 3 shutouts in a row for this quite weak team

panayiotis, you're usually a hit and run guy, but you're sort of seeing it the way it's been going down.

He said his stats have been going down, so obviously he wasn't watching one game. Maybe the 4 or 5 he's been pulled in since signing the extension and the save percentage hovering around .900 since December. Those are things that happened. 4 goals or more given up in 3 of 4 starts since the Olympic Break, for a defense people claimed have improved with the new system that isn't new. They're not going to get that far needing 5 goals to win every game, but luckily regression righted itself with the offense, and hasn't done it as much with the goaltending.

Doesn't want to come over. Flyers tried years ago.

Mason made some amazing saves – again – last night, but I'm noticing a trend of him giving up the floater tip to his blocker (left) side. He has to work on making himself bigger on shots like that to minimize the room.

Oh, yeah, and he has to request that his own players stop scoring on him.

It would also help if his own players could take a few less penalties and give up a few less odd man rushes when they are on the powerplay.

Haha. Too many new people don't know who he is. Pana is known, back in the day, of hating pretty much every Flyers player. Just ignore him.

Because every goal is 100% the fault of the goaltender with no mitigating circumstances, right?
