Sprained finger (advice needed)

I sprained the second joint of my ring finger badly playing hockey the other day. Itís a bit swollen and hurts if my finger bends sideways. I play twice a week and, to be perfectly honest, donít want to stop to let it heal.

Is there a way I can wrap/tape my finger and continue to play? Obviously I canít buddy tape it when wearing gloves. Does anyone have experience with finger sprains while playing?

Buddy tape the glove fingers?
Didn't Kinsler or someone have to do that after blocking an Ovi shot in the Olympics?

finger splints or sleeves
if really serious (and there's enough room in the glove finger) you might be able to use a formable aluminum splint.
If not that serious, maybe a neoprene finger sleeve will work
here's a URL for sleeves on Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&key...l_2azm11bc3h_e
Can be a little pricey, but your finger stays mostly bendable and you can work the hand ok.
I had to use both a splint and then a sleeve after a moto injury when I bent one finger full on sideways...

... I cut the tip off the sleeve so I could position it all the way down the finger - I gotz long fingers...
