But scores 40 plus points, we know he isn't good defensively. But Gross is actually worse defensively at the moment.

I just can't understand how on the fourth shift of the OT (which should have been Jake and Claude's shift) that the coaching staff decides that Vinny and Simmonds (perhaps our two worst defensive forwards) should go out as a pair instead. Cue the defensive break down. Just a silly, silly coaching mistake. You're better than that Berube.

Mez leaves, now it's Grossman's turn to get the ire of the fanbase.

Is it me or does it seem like the Leafs are always so lucky? Including tonight. I have no faith in Berube considering he is still playing Grossmann over Gus. Hold ALL your players accountable. 4v4 he's out there, wtf!

Vinny needs to start playing in his proper position. We're getting nothing from him at wing so give him the C back and see if the wing will propel Schenn to do something for once.

Berube is a MORON. Simmer, Vinny, Gross do not need to see the ice in OT, especially not all 4 at the same time. Our 4 worst defensive players, out together. ****ing moronic.

And Streit wandered away, covering no one, leaving an odd-man situation down-low in OT.

Grossmann didn't execute it well, no doubt, but the breakdown was on Streit IMO.

Very entertaining game, glad we came out with a point after all. And of course, Gustafsson should obviously have Grossmans place. Let Gross rest a couple of games!

That's about as bad as you can get, defensively speaking.

It was Streit's fault seeing a down low replay, he was up at the point with the other two forwards.

However Grossmann shouldn't have been out there, he was easily our worst defensemen tonight & it looked like Berube elected to not throw Luke out there during the OT who at least had a solid game & has somewhat of a pulse offensively.

okay, yeah the goal was probably caused by streit

but my point is, if grossmann cant ever do his job, what the **** is the point of having him out there?

On the other hand, they got a point out of a game in which they were constantly playing from behind and got very little puck luck.

I noticed that too. Berube's line decisions are straight mind boggling a lot of times. He tries to play the matchup game WAY too much and I cannot stand his goon logic.

Someone needs to tell Chief that he needs to center his gameplan around his best players. Especially in 4 v 4. No excuse for that.

Ok, positives.

I really like MacDonald. Sign him. We need some competent defenseman .

That I'll agree with. He has been awful and sure as hell shouldn't be seeing the ice but the last goal I put on Streit more than Grossmann.

Seriously, Berube sticks to distributing ice time and getting match ups too often late in games when he should be playing Giroux's line and keeping players like Grossmann and Schenn off the ice.

Schenn - Raffl
Grossmann - Streit

That just seems like an awful combination to put out there in overtime.

Grossmann was the worst player on the ice, he killed so many offensive opportunities and still managed to come out of it a -3. Literally nothing redeeming about his game for the past 3 months.
