It was just mayhem on the bench when this was all happening. They got Peverley off the bench and up the tunnel ASAP. Scary stuff

Announced at the stadium that Peverley was taken to the hospital and is conscious. League is still deciding if they want to continue game.

The Caps have a pretty lively crowd. I've been to a game there and it was a nice atmosphere.

Pevs seems like he is doing well according to twitter reports and the broadcast. Thank goodness.

Also someone mentioned it, by my god that medical team was right there. Great to see them able to react so fast to these situations. Medical teams rarely get some love, they deserve it though.

Rich Peverly was aware of where he was and actually asked to go back into the hockey game when he was being worked on.

Hockey players are one of a kind.

When, pray tell, will the Devils begin the process of attempting to wrap up Jaromir Jagr, their best player by leaps and bounds, for next season?

“I like it here and I want to stay, but there’s no rush,” Jagr told The Post on Wednesday. “I’ll be here when they want to talk. I know I’m going to play in the NHL. I’m going to play in the NHL for as long as I can.

“I love it,” said No. 68. “What else am I going to do, get fat?”
Haha. Gotta love Jagr.

Was at the Caps/Pens game tonight. I think I hate Caps fans more than I hate Neal and Kunitz. They are astoundingly clueless, but yet, they are so outspoken. These idiots try way too hard to sound like intelligent hockey fans.

They are much worse than Pens fans. At least Pens fans have a solid core of long time fans who truly understand and appreciate the game.

Byfuglien is such a dick when he scores on the road. Always makes a motion towards the fans.

Now apparently Chiasson is in the hospital with panic attacks.

Rough night in the NHL.

I watched most of the first two periods... had enough and the wife and I threw on Netflix; apparently should have stuck around for the third.

Poor guy, I can't even imagine how hard it would be to witness something like that happen to a teammate.

So thankful Peverley is ok, hope and pray he can get better.

Sounds like the Stars staff/medical staff did an amazing job, definitely hats off to them.

HAHA starts out with everything is great, they're talking about what it would take to make the playoffs and win streaks, and then halfway through page 20 it's like hitting a wall. Everything just goes downhill from there.
