I like David's comments at the end. I can tell this camp in Orlando really helped the team.

I guess we have depth b/c we have so many young prospects trying to make the team...but...

I also noted Legwand's comments at the end...with more than a little pleasure.

Anyone else noticed that the attitude seems to have changed a bit? Scott Walker saying, earlier this year, that players who left to go to a team with "a chance at the postseason" pissed him off...that he felt players should get THIS team there.

Now Legwand with his comments.

Kloucek's made these sorts of noises this summer too...

Etc etc

Seems that in the past, saying the word "playoffs" was "forbidden", unless it was to say "well, of course our goal every year is/was to make the playoffs, but..."

Now it seems the goal really IS post season hockey, and the guys are talking about what they'll have to do to accomplish it...and anything less will not be adequate.

I, for one, approve.

I really like the quotes coming from players in camp this year. There seems to be a hard edge underlying the attitude that promises grit and determination. Let's hope the young guys catch on to this...

For some reason I think it has caught on to one of the young guys already, or maybe vice versa
