You know I thought about him too. But then I remembered that Milbury basically traded him away for scraps; just to get rid of him. Then years later called him a "Gutless Puke" in the press.

So, I doubt he would be welcomed back. Honestly, I don't mind either. Rather, risk it with a Mapletoft or give time to Bates.

.

I think the gutless puke comment came after he hit Jonsson with his head down, when Jonsson had already passed the puck.

Yep. It was in a game against Anaheim. The team Milbury traded Green to for a package of J.J. Daigneault, Mark Janssens and somebody else even less notable if you could believe that.

I like green and think hed be good here but Milbury would never do it.....after all Bill Torrey drafted him and Milbury doesnt need Bill Torreys name being brought up it just reminds people that even though Wang looks at Milbury as a winner.....Milbury is not a winner. Bill Torrey was a winner.

I think that Green would be good for the team but Milbury hates him. I wouldnt mind seeing Craig Janney either (another guy Milbury hates), although I think that he is pretty much washed up now.

Boston signs C Travis Green for two years
BOSTON --The Boston Bruins re-signed center Travis Green on Wednesday to a two-year contract.

"Travis was a very reliable player for us in our last season and we're happy to have him back," Bruins general manager Mike O'Connell said. "He's a real character player and adds a lot of leadership to our dressing room."
In 857 NHL games, Green has 182 goals and 249 assists. He has scored at least 10 goals in each of the last nine seasons and has scored at least 20 three times.

Yeah and then I think he scored the winning goal against us in game 7. Osgood should have had that one...
