I like PK Subban a lot. I think he's great for the game. He's one of those guys you love to have on your team and hate playing against. He talks a lot of **** and makes you hate him but he's doing a job of trying to get underneath the skin of guys ala Kasparaitis, Barnaby, etc. I'd take him on my team anyday. The guy just makes plays.

That said, I really feel bad for him every time I see him in Pittsburgh. He is booed more than anyone that the Penguins play. More than Jagr. More than Ovechkin. More than Hossa.

He or Habs fans probably think Pittsburgh is the most racist city in the world but it all comes back to Pittsburgh fans having VERY long memories. Fans still haven't forgiven him for his PK Scissorskates moment taking out Jordan Staal in the playoffs a few years ago.

That said, would love him on my Flyers.

He's this generations Jeremy Roenick. Just let him be. Stop trying to change him or get him to conform, he suffers and the league by extension suffers. People will cry about the the sport not being more popular, like a bunch of faux hipsters. Yet Subban is one of those few players that will boost the game and make it easier to love.

Based on his all round offensive abilities, hitting and raw emotion on the ice...he's by far the most entertaining to watch right behind Doughty by a fraction

Penguins fans boo Jagr? That's so bratty.

What's the reason he's booed in Pittsburgh? I don't recall a specific incident.

He can hit, shoot and score, much like prime phaneuf which is pretty much as exciting as you get

I think there's a good case to make that he's the most exciting player in the NHL.

Any D-man that rushes from end to end is thrilling. Add to his unique set of moves and charisma...

A 2nd case can be made that he's one of the more entertaining NHL'ers of all time. Definitely part of the conversation. He's unique.

I like watching Drew Doughty the most.

He's got great defensive acumen and positioning, he lays huge hits, can dazzle on his rushes, clutch performer, plays in all situations, dat beard.

What makes him the most entertaining player, IMO, is that his style on the ice is unique. Nobody plays like him, with a style that rides a very fine line between risk and reward, flash and efficiency, fluid skating and physical ability, etc. He is not the best, because sometimes his style plays against him, and he makes very apparent - and often costly - mistakes.

However, he's always the most passionate and fired up guy on the ice and he does not hesitate to show it and that is what entertainment feels like to me. He can take over a game and even when he doesn't, he will wow you by completing (or flubbing, sometimes) routine plays in ways that very few players do - his spins, his line-to-line passes, his checks, his bomb on the PP, his rushes up the ice, the way he pushes opposing players off him, etc.. When Subban takes the puck behind his net and starts skating, all eyes are on him, always. That's entertainment.

Most entertaining? Sure. I hate the habs, but will watch them anytime I can, mainly because of Pernell. Karlsson is pretty fun to watch as well.

Karlsson and Doughty are more exciting IMO, but he is a fun player to watch. He is probably the most athletic defensemen in the NHL.

Old clichés never die. People that think/say this obviously don't watch him play.

Didn't he inadvertently hurt Staal with his skate?

Guys like Pietrangelo and Weber are boring yet fantastic. PK is fun, he is the kind of player you want to pay to watch live.

He just needs to start moving the puck quicker and his game will go to the next level.

Having guys like Subban is great for the game. Big personality, plays an in your face style and is explosive offensively. The only D guy I would say is more exciting is Karlsson, and that has more to do with his insane skating and vision (which Subban is still really good at, just a little below).

Yes, he is.

He is exciting to watch in all aspects. Karlsson doesn't bring the big hits and chirping style along with the offense ala subban.
