The San Jose Sharks have the best forward depth in the league.

Hertl - Thornton - Burns
Marleau - Couture - Nieto
Havlat - Pavelski - Wingels
Torres - Desjardins - Sheppard

Not even Chicago has depth like this.

Thread is not open to discussion, just admiration.

Pavelski is a stud. You know your team is deep when he's a third line center.

I'd say no, they just happen to be on a hot streak.

Hasn't Pavelski been playing wing?

He's filling Hertl's spot on Thornton's wing.

The interesting part is that each line seems to take control on given days. Sometimes it's the Thornton-Burns show creating the most chances. Next night, Marleau-Couture-Nieto,
next Wingels, Havlat, Shep contribute. I'm sure it's all just about matchups but it certainly is nice to see.

100% agree. It really isnt close. San Jose easily has the best team in the league on paper IMO. I have a ton of respect for what they have at both ends.

If you take out the second line I think Anaheim is better but the second line is kind of an important part of the forward core

When healthy they're probably number one, yea. Just imagine if Havlat wasn't a shell of himself too.

Unfortunately, it is very much true that the West is a gauntlet to get through and the winner of the East has a much easier time. Not whining, just stating the facts. Death Valley are what players around the league are calling California road trips. Stacked and stacked.

They dress Sheppard. That means they're not deep.

I look forward to them being shutdown by a defence core like the Blues.

You obviously haven't seen Sheppard play lately. 4 pts in his last 3 games centering the 3rd line. Former 1st round pick rounding into form perhaps. Thornton endorsed.

How I managed to get both Couture and Pavelski on my fantasy team two years in a row I'll never know. They have a beastly forward corps.
