FLORIDA PANTHERS fans: PLEASE rate/rank players for speed

do you know a team well? please rank the players from fastest to slowest, like this:

BOS
Paille
Marchand
Krug
....
Soderberg
Eriksson
Chara

this is an example. I'm not great at judging this, so my example is just an example. if you can do this, try to include every player that has played for the team this season and is still signed with the organization. if you don't know a guy well enough, leave him off or mark him with a question mark or something. feel free to assign a rating or ranking or whatever to each player. you could list them in groups or with spaced apart to show gaps or whatever. if you have seen skill competitions and/or practice drills and/or have watched every game, please type so. consider "fastest" to be a general amalgam of quickest acceleration and highest top speed. thanks for reading this and thanks for participating.

That's tough outside of the top and bottom, but I'll give it a go with the forwards (not counting Legwand yet):

Helm

Tatar
Nyquist
Pre-injury Datsyuk

Abdelkader
Miller
Zetterberg
Jurco
Glendening
Sheahan
Franzen
Alfredsson
Weiss
Post-injury Datsyuk
Andersson

Cleary
Bertuzzi

Maybe something like that. That's not much separating that large middle pack, so one could scramble them anyway and not be wrong.

Paille is the only clear standout to me on the Bruins if we aren't including Spooner. Everyone else seems to be noticeably lacking in at least one of quickness, acceleration or top-end speed. Marchand might be the best candidate for #2 though. Krug seems to really be lacking top-end speed to me. I think Bartkowski might be the best candidate for #3.

I think I'd agree with those as the bottom 3 though.

Skinner, Semin, and Gerbe are the fastest guys on the Canes. In what order I'm not exactly sure.

Mason Raymond
Nikolai Kulemin
Jake Gardiner
Troy Bodie
Carter Ashton
Tyler Bozak
Peter Holland
Jay McClement
Joffrey Lupul
Nazem Kadri
Dion Phaneuf
Paul Ranger
Carl Gunnarsson
David Clarkson
Cody Franson
Tim Gleason
Dave Bolland
Frazer McClaren
Colton Orr

I honestly think Murphy and (when he was healthy at least) Pitkanen are better then all 3 in that regard. Hell Murphy may be one of the top 10-15 skaters in the entire league.

I'd probably go:
Murphy
Gerbe
Semin
Skinner
Dwyer
Dvorak
Eric
Jordan
Liles
Lindholm
Loktionov
Sekera
Tlusty
Faulk
Nash
Bowman
Malhotra
Harrison
Hainsey
Bellemore
Komisarek

I'll give it a shot with the players whom I have a rough idea of how fast they can be.

Chimera
Johansson
Ovechkin/Backstrom/Green/Kuznetsov
Hillen
(may be people between)
Brouwer/Laich/Beagle/Wilson

That's as much as I can recall while having some degree of accuracy.

Kessel, JVR, Rielly, Gardiner, Raymond. Any team have a faster group of five guys?

On the Flyers:

Read
Simmonds
Voracek
Coburn
Raffl
Rinaldo

Are the 6 fastest most likely. No idea who would win in a straight line.

Jake would likely win round the rink though, or if they did say 5 shuttles. He maintains speed so well while turning.

Havlat
Burish
Wingels
Couture
Vlasic
Thornton
Desjardins
Boyle
Hertl
Demers
Pavelski
Hannan

We actually have a pretty gd fast team. Even guys further down on the list like Couture, Wingels, and Desi all have decent speed.

Edit: Forgot about Pavs, just added him.

You're right how did I possibly forget Murph? He's a speed demon and very fun to watch. He's gonna be a stud in the next few years.

Backstrom should be close to the bottom of that list
