I guess Santa Monica doesn't count as LA right?? I love Santa Monica!!
1) I absolutely love the Bay Area cause I used to live there for quite a while San Francisco is a great city. The entire coastline and the famous Highway 1 is my favorite place to hang out!
BUT... I'm not a fan of the Sharks, in fact I detest the Sharks!
2) I live In TO. I'm getting settled here so I will defend the city if I travel outside the Province but I absolutely, positively hate, despise [insert word here] the Maple Leafs with more passion than you could swing a stick at...
3) I love Montreal!! Awesome city. However I am NOT a fan of the Habs!!
Ottawa for me. Love the city, it has a great feel to it. Like Toronto with trees. I love getting the bi-lingual vibe, but not to the point of looking down on either one, like Montreal with English speakers. (someone once said that Montreal has two languages, French and really reluctant English).
It's a fun place for a hike or a pub crawl. Beautiful with the river.
But I would rather go blind in one eye than watch the Sens win the Cup.
Vancouver, not surprisingly, probably has the biggest ratio of love-the-city to hate-the-team.
As a Canucks fan, I'll say that I really hope to visit Chicago and Boston one day. Plenty I would want to see and do in both, and the fanbases are both admirable in their passion. But it will be many years before I cheer for either team.
Also don't mind the city of Calgary. Its downtown core is one of the best in Canada. I can only hope Edmonton can catch up with it
Yeah, I don't know. I've lived in Calgary for over 10 years now, and Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal's down-town areas are far nicer. Calgarys down-town is nicer than Edmonton's, yes, but that's not really saying much. Calgary's down-town area is nice, there are some great restaurants, decent bars and there's always something going down on 17th ave, but I wouldn't consider it one of the best in Canada.
