O'Reilly v Landeskog

Just curious what outsiders think, who's the better player. Ryan plays LW on our top line with Duchene and is pacing for 30 Goals and 67 points. Landeskog plays LW on our shutdown line with Paul Stastny and is pacing for 25 goals and 66 points.

Love Landeskog. I think he's going to be a top 15 player in the league at some point. But if I had the choice to acquire one of them THIS YEAR for a Cup run, I'd take O'Reilly. Same question a year or two down the road, I'd probably say Landeskog.

Great Poll. Said Landeskog both simply because he is captain and I would like to see him remain that for a long time.
I'd also say that Landy's upside is higher than ROR's, but that is just my opinion. I see ROR being more of a Jordan staal while Landy playing more like Mike Richards. If I had to chose, I'd pick Richards

If your shutdown winger is scoring pretty much the same as your top line winger... I'd say he's the better player. But I cant really say havnt watched that many Avs games this year to have an opinion.

ROR is already better than Jordan Staal.

I find it kinda impossible to answer. I put O'reilly now and Landeskog in the future. I don't think there's any difference, both players bring different things to table and both have been very good offensively this season. Great players, I just can't choose between them.

I'd rate them equal both now and going forward, two terrific two-way wingers.

For what it's worth that shutdown line started off as Landy-Staz-Tanguay, with MacK filling in part time for injuries, so even though it's the line that gets the toughest minutes it's also an excellent line.

ROR meanwhile has played more minutes than any other forward, because he's not on the shutdown line Roy has used him all over, on the PK, filling in with the lower liners while guys are in the box, etc. plus ROR may be on a similar PPG to Landy, but he's going to out score him by a good 5 goals.

I love both and think they're incredibly close, which is why I thought this may be a fun poll.

I'm sorry, maybe I wasn't clear... but great leadership plays a big part in my books as to the quality of a player.

I want both of them to be Canucks, and I don't want to give up anything for them. Except for Edler, cuz he's awful.

ROR is great, but I think Landeskog/Duchene is a closer debate than Landeskog/ROR. I think the world of Landeskog though.

What happened to the C>LW argument? ROR is a very good center when he isn't a LW.

ROR now, Landy in the future.

Looking at it from the outside I'd take O'Reilly because he can play centre too.

Was torn between Landy now and future and ROR now, Landy future. Went with the latter, as I gave ROR a slight edge over Landeskog right now.
