I've seen a lot of stats gurus on HFBoards run some interesting icetime comparisons for players, showing how many minutes they got per game, how many ES, PP, PK, and even how many of those minutes were against other teams' top players. Has anyone run this kind of information for Jarome Iginla? I'm not to familiar with Calgary's coaching style - do you regulary employ a specific checking line to face the opposition's top players, or is there a lot of top line vs. top line play? If someone's got numbers for this, I'd really appreciate it.. and failing that, anecdotal explanations are fine too.
Calgary does have a checking line that they use against other teams top lines. The line is led by Stephane Yelle. That said, Iginla gets top minutes even strength, PP, and PK. Much of the time he goes against the other team's top line.
