Seriously lol at blaming Eller for Tinordi passing it straight to the opposing player.
Well that's just not what I said at all. I said both f'd up there and pretty much cost us at least one point tonight, even though we didn't deserve the win. I'm watching people right now trying to defend Eller because "all centers turn over the puck", which may be true, but not every single time they enter the zone. He's just ridiculous now.

Huge? No. We are firmly in the playoffs and unless a horrid losing streak follows, this loss won't change that. People need to calm down. We're going to lose some games along the way. It happens. We have fourteen more to go. Don't expect a flawless record.

It's a result of Tinordi not being familiar with guys as rangy as Johanssen. Not many guys in the AHL or OHL have his length and speed.

Hopefully he learns the lesson and moves on.

mate, while Beaulieu played good it was a short stint. Beaulieu will make mistakes soon and we will want his head off. Columbus is a fast team, tinordi got caught but he is playing great opposition. Beaulieu hasn't been tested yet. Imagine him vs big.teams.like Boston, sharks, he would get eaten alive

It was a mistake, they happen to everyone. It's a learning curve and it was a regular season game at the end of the day.

I think the bigger issue is Therrien force feeding Bouillon down our throats with Subban. On the 2nd goal Bouillon was essentially having a Sunday skate by himself to the side of the net and didn't cover anyone and Subban was left alone to cover 3 ****ing guys. Bouillon is costing this team 10x more than Tinordi who has been steadily improving game by game.

TBH I would much rather have Beaulieu with Subban and Bouillon put out to pasture.

Carey Price got the first star in that game, so all is good with the world.

Now to think about game vs Leafs on Saturday.

Most of the players weren't very good tonight. Like Therrien just said, "it was a bad game."

Sure, we were in a position to get a point. But we had no business even getting that point.

6 of the next 7 Habs games are on the road.. I guess we'll see what this team is really made of in this next little stretch.

18 wins in last 40 games. Habs need a 7-4 type finish to at least look like a playoff caliber team going into playoffs. Sadly Habs mostly have road games left.

Not even mad.

Not a good game at all, the Habs would have been lucky to salvage a point.

On to the next one.

Judging from his presser, I don't think that will happen. He said the team as a whole played a bad game. Someone asked him about Tinordi and he said "He's a good kid and he'll learn from his mistakes and be better."

It's the turnovers at your own blueline that kill the most, not turnovers 150 feet away.
I don't blame him for having no support there. I blame him for trying to keep the puck for too long as he usually does. He's often not very aware of his surroundings when he has the puck and either can't find an open teammates or he simply gets stripped of the puck as the walls of his tunnel vision get narrower and narrower. He needs to recognize these situations and either dump the puck or give it to a teammate more quickly. He's great at fending off forecheckers and protecting the puck, but it's a double-edged sword for him because he tries to beat opposing players by himself instead of using his teammates to do so. On that particular sequence, he's just doing more of the same and it would be innocuous in a guy like Plekanec for example, but it's a tendency for him.

Think about it this way. Would you rather have a a rookie we have high hopes for making a mistake that he will learn from, or Bouillon?

"Rookies make mistakes"

They all make them. They learn from them. Yeah, this one sucked big time and cost the Habs a point (or two) but it's a learning curve and hopefully in the future, Tinner will simply pivot and fire the puck off the boards instead of force a backhand feed to his defensive partner, near his own blue line.
