As for a mistake that led to a game winning goal, in the grand scheme of things, a mistake is a mistake. We should be focusing on trends rather than results. If a defenseman makes 7 mistakes that all get saved my Price, did he play a better game than the guy that makes 2 mistakes, one of which gets through Price?
Show me a clip of Bouillon making a tape to tape pass to the other team's top scorer to send him on a breakaway, or skating by the puck and leaving it right in the slot like Tinordi did against Ottawa?

I get that Bouillon is old, and Tinordi is young, therefore Bouillon will be disliked and Tinordi praised. That's how it goes on these boards. But to me, Bouillon has done a ok job since he's been pairing with Subban. He's constantly making the simple, effective plays. He's certainly not a top 4 D but I prefer to have him there rather than every Dman we have available except maybe Beaulieu, which seems to be in Hamilton for attitude reasons.

3 things that David Clarkson and Tomas Vanek have in common

1- Both born in 1984
2- Made headlines as most important player move for their team this season
3- Have 4 goals with their new team

Emelin is ****ing terrible and by far our worst defenseman.
Because he threw a ton of sweet hits a long time ago . Has has been struggling, but he still is better than Boullion. Especially on the powerplay.

Emelin has had an off season and it's clear he needs to rebuild strength in his knee even if it's healed. The problem with him is that and a mental block. He's a bit gaurded this year and I think he fears re-injuring it (Which isn't really unfair)

There has been one positive for Emelin's game this year and it's that he's shooting more and he's expanding his offensive game. This is partly because the coaches are letting him join the play more (which they should have earlier), but he's also running with it.

I think we have to wait until next season to truly assess where Emelin's at, because then any question of his knee or being a bit gunshy physically will be put aside. I'm still hoping he can string some momentum together in time for the playoffs.

The Great Communicator he is not
Bork is a lazy player. A player who floats, a player with no hockey sense. We ALL know of his shortcomings. I don't think Therrien needs to say a thing. Bork being scratched is entirely his fault because he has no heart or passion. If it were up to me he would never play another game in Montreal again. He has putrid stats, 8 goals, 4 assists in 53 games. For the money he is paid he should at least try to earn it. He is a disgrace.

I really have to question anyone's hockey knowledge if they can honestly think Bouillon or Murray are better hockey players than Tinordi at this point.

In fact, it puzzles me a great deal to believe anyone honestly thinks Bouillon should even be in the NHL.

Emelin's reputation isn't unscathed. Everyone here knows he's been playing poorly for the most part, but he's still better than Bouillon.

It's too late to install a new coach but the Habs' outcome this season should be the decider in retaining or firing the fat lipped one.

Didn't realize, but a win for us would seriously damage the Leaf's chances of making the playoffs. It coud be sort of the beginning of the end for them if we beat them and Detroit wins a few games.

Go Habs!

Totally agree.

Bourque is one of the few players whose been given EVERY chance to succeed. Top 6 role for most of the season, often playing with Plekanec. Powerplay time. Moved to third line with Eller and Galchenyuk. It's a real shame because he has the size and skill to play a huge role for this team.

It's funny because it's not that our smallest players that play small. If our big guys (Bourque, Eller, etc.) played with as much heart as our midgets then maybe we could finally reach our true potential.
