Players that would excel on OTHER teams

What are some players that would excel if they were on another team. Players that simply need a change of scenery to be either good, or elite.

So far off the top of my head that this has worked for.

Top teir guys - Seguin,
Mid teir guys - Higgins, Santorelli, Reilly Smith, bishop, Jay-bo

Which players are next to be added to the list?.

I think a guy like Gagner, or even a guy Elias could become a superstar in this league in a more offensive system.

Gagner, yes. Elias has had a very fine career though, not sure if it would have been any better elsewhere.

Seriously? You think there is a team in the league that focuses less on defense than the Oilers? Gagner's numbers would drop a lot if he had to be defensively accountable.

Kopitar would put up 90 pts on most other teams

I'd say Voracek and Neal are two more examples of players that have excelled after being traded to new teams.

David Clarkson. Good fit on a team that plays a defensive/grind system. Probably ideal for Boston, Nashville, LA, Phoenix type system.

Obviously not a good fit for a rush type team

I always thought Rick Nash in San Jose would be an absolute stud. Getting set up by the likes of Thornton, Nash could easily score 50. Plus Nash has proven internationally he knows how to win and the Sharks need that desperately

Yup, most of us agree Bailey would succeed elsewhere.

One that this worked reasonably well for: Steve Mason. For whatever reason, once he left Columbus, most of his issues cleared up, and his numbers look eerily similar to his Calder Trophy season.

When luongo was with the Canucks I would say him. He works better in a quieter market and when he is faced with lots of shots

A lot of people make the comment about kings players getting more points else where but is more points on a bad team excelling or just more points.

I always thought Weiss would be great on a contender, didn't work out.
