Biron's Value...

Just curious, what teams need/would want Biron? He's a capable NHL starter, though, probably not in the top 15. Still somewhat young and capable, just curious what would the market be? And, what would they give up to get him?

Preseason projected role Biron will again be the Sabres starter in 2003-04, though he will again try to holf off both Mika Noronen and Ryan Miller.
Assets Is extremely poised and rarely gets rattled after giving up a bad goal. Has tremendous agility and the cockiness needed to become a star between the pipes.
Flaws Needs more meat on his bones. Will have to fill out his 6-2 frame in order to become one of the elite goaltenders in the game.
Career potential No. 1 goalie.

To be honest, Biron's BIGGEST weakness is his lack of concentration. The timing of the goals he gives up is terrible. Not to say that this couldn't be correct, but with Miller's performance in camp, he may be ready to take over the top spot. However, i feel somewhat obligated to use this smiley, well, just because.

I think Biron is already a great #1 goalie in the NHL top 15. He has done really good work for the Sabres, who were not a powerfull team in the NHL. I would be curious to see him in a top 10 NHL team as the #1.
