I was watching an old NHLPA video of Hartnell and a bunch of the Flyers having a little wrist shot competition and Hartnell was making fun of Carle's weak wrists shots. It was pretty hilarious.

In another video Hartnell was being asked about Leighton while he was playing in Nashville with him. The question was something like "was he as good in Nashville?" to which Hartnell responded "No, he couldn't stop a beach ball." He of course followed that up by saying he was just joking but it's pretty funny to see a pro on the team seeing exactly what the fans see.

It's not about 41 shots. LA is one of the best possession teams in the league and the Flyers are one of the worst. The Flyers are also terrible at exiting the zone. The Kings not being able to score much is not indicative of the pressure they bring.

He started the Kings run with a foot issue in the beginning of the playoffs, and it's no coincidence that he became better and better as time went on and he healed.

Maybe if he were actually capable of hitting a shot off a one timer those problems wouldn't have been so bad...and I don't believe he learned how to be a real net presence until the next season.
Yeah, but stats are stats and that's what most people point to. Right or wrong, that's probably why a lot boo. I also think most are just booing him just for the sake of booing him

When I throw out the "people hate him because he bleached his hair" thing, that's not something I'm pulling out of thin air. I've got a cousin who despises Carter because he bleached his hair. He would get seriously angry whenever Carter scored goals. When it was pointed out to him that he bleached his hair through high school, he said "Yeah? And I was a huge ******* in high school."

When the puck slides over to Voracek and he's got an open one-timer, everybody should be yelling "shoot".

I never knew he bleached his hair, I also fail to see why anyone would see that as a problem

I always thought Jeff looked good with his hair. Even better than Richards. Although neither look as good as Giroux, he's just flat out sexy

Wayne Gretzky in his prime couldn't do that if he tried.

I don't have a feeling for Carter either way but frosted tips are usually a pretty good idicator to everybody in the room that there's a good chance you're a toolbag.

I strongly suspect Dion is under-evolved.

so you agree shooting is the answer.

passing is NOT shooting.

make the goalie work for his paycheque. firing rubber is always the answer
